There are a lot of restaurants that do Hainanese Chicken rice in HK but many of them are not authentic and poor quality. Heard a lot of great recommendations with City Garden's Hainanese Chicken rice, as a serious HC fan, I have no reason not to come try. The serving was just-right. Each slices of chicken were cut evenly into a good bite-size. The skin, aka, a very important part of HC was thin with a layer of clear Jelly (collagen!) underneath. No signs of any grossome yellow fat found in many

The serving was just-right. Each slices of chicken were cut evenly into a good bite-size. The skin, aka, a very important part of HC was thin with a layer of clear Jelly (collagen!) underneath. No signs of any grossome yellow fat found in many other HC restaurants. The meat was also very tender and tasty. Of course, it's served with the 3 essential sauces of HC, Chicken rice and soup. Chicken rice was also excellent- full of chicken flavour and served steam warm. An excellent HC rice set indeed! At $145 (before surcharge) in a mid grade hotel restaurant, I think the price is quite reasonable and the food quality is well worth it. A meal to come back for
We also ordered a Bak Kut Tet, which was also excellent and full of flavour. Only thing was the portion was slightly small - just one average sized bowl at $88. We want more !
