We paid the newly open Sukiyaki Isekuma a visit to try out sukiyaki . For those of you who haven’t tried it before, sukiyaki is also Japanese cuisine which beef 🥩 and vegetables are prepared in the nabemono (one-pot) style over a heat source.

It was so fun watching Head Chef 👨‍🍳 prepare the food in an iron pot. The slices of finest, well-marbled Japanese beef 🥩 simmer and turned browned in the pot while amazing aroma just drifted to us sitting across from it at the bar table. We watched how every dish was prepared in such detail and care right in front of us. Then, the slices of beef are dipped into beaten raw egg before being eaten helps to bring out their freshness.

The 6-course dinner Sukiyaki Set that we had included the following per person:
1️⃣ 3 kinds of Appetizer
2️⃣ A4 Wagyu Beef Sukiyaki x 2 Slices
3️⃣ 7 kinds of Japanese Vegetables
4️⃣ Konbu Steamed Rice with Simmered Egg
5️⃣ Steamed dish
6️⃣ Dessert

Sukiyaki paired with Japanese wine and sake is always an amazing idea. We would highly recommend paying it a visit on your date or friends lunch/dinner out. We saw two tables celebrating their birthdays there as well!

We made a reservation at 6:30pm on a Friday night and we pretty much had the entire restaurant to ourselves until 7:30ish…that’s when most other people started to arrive. 雖然我們不懂日文,全程主廚還是堅持用日文講解食材與烹調方法,十分有態度。不用擔心聽不懂日文,因為旁邊還會有店員耐心翻譯。整家店,整個用餐過程包括食材,餐廳服務,都令人感覺舒適愉悅,高質價格又公道,十分推薦!
