We found this restaurant at Open rice.1) Sat down at the sushi bar and server asked if we want tea or "beer". I was shocked, the is a wrong offer. She may ask "tea or water", or " would you like some beer or sake?"2) Instead of the bar chef gives us warm welcome, we had to try to make him smile. 3) Sashimi and sushi was very good, only the chef didn't make any effort to show hospitality4) Don't try chawamushi, it has no taste.5) and it is absolutle not a "$151-$300" restaurant, please expect it

在銅鑼灣跟朋友無目的地的找食店. 誤打誤撞進了這間餐廳.在大廈電梯隨意的按了這間翔太, 在完全無意地去了吃這一餐.看了餐牌,不知道吃什麼好, 店員很好. 說要不要由師父發板!? 這當然好. 跟本不知道吃什麼好.這個師父說這個月才有的, 要有一定膽量,師父說要看把酒和魚留在口腔中. 感覺魚在口腔中亂竄的感覺. 我大膽咬了幾下, 口感爽爽的.兩人吃的不多,因為來之前已經去了別的地方喝咖啡.其中還叫了一枝清酒, 沒記錯夠字好像叫十全美人, 不俗.以現今香港的日本料理來說. 這間屬高品質的. 當然,價錢也不俗, 單吃了幾款東西和一枝清酒已大約千八. 但喜歡吃的朋友不容錯過.

兩人吃的不多,因為來之前已經去了別的地方喝咖啡.

其中還叫了一枝清酒, 沒記錯夠字好像叫十全美人, 不俗.

以現今香港的日本料理來說. 這間屬高品質的. 當然,價錢也不俗, 單吃了幾款東西和一枝清酒已大約千八. 但喜歡吃的朋友不容錯過.
Other Info. : 在吃魚生時竟然有蚊滋... 這不是餐廳想的,但需要留意!

接著我們的三色飯就到! 應該是因為已過了午市peak hour, 我們的食物總是很快送到, 茶又加很密, 感覺不錯 說回這個造型可愛的三色飯. 兩大球魚生蓉加4片鱆紅魚.. 面頭有大量的紫菜絲把飯全都覆蓋了... 看見叫小妹食指大動! 別看碗很大個就以為是一碗很大的飯 (小妹起初的確是這樣想!) 一動口吃就知其實碗很淺, 飯也不算大多, 比例上魚生比飯更多呢!

鱆紅魚很新鮮, 油甘香也很夠.. 而吞拿魚蓉和三文魚蓉撈飯真是無得頂! 小妹是一啖飯都有1比1的飯和魚蓉!! 調味方面也很到位, 即使不加芥末也ok, 不過如困2想吊味加一點soy sauce也不錯~ 跟餐的還有一碗喬麥麵, 這碗麵放到最後我們也吃不完, 小妹是很喜歡麵的筫感和那喬麥的味道, 總覺得吃起來很健康很舒服... 這正是吃日本菜的感覺... 小妹絕不是崇日所以愛吃日本菜, 而是很多日本菜吃起來就是有一種很舒服, 和身體很協調的感覺, 即使是天婦羅和吉列也是如此(當然我們說的是質素高的啦, 如果油淋淋的就另一回事了)

接著來看看這16件壽司~~ 也不是所有我都喜歡吃, 尤其不喜歡的是熟蝦! 這個我和豬都非常麻麻地, 但當然有吃啦~ 不會逐件壽司評價, 只說印象深刻的吧~~ 醋鯖魚的調味恰到好處, 那微微的醋味跟鯖魚很匹配! 一向都很喜歡這款壽司, 但只有用心機的食肆才有這種魚肉不霉而淡淡醋味的感覺. 這裡做得很好

最右面的toro也是令人印象深刻的. 是哪種級的toro小妹就不知道, 但我倆都認為油甘香味濃, 剛好不是有根的部分吃起來很容易, 而且豬說即使喝了茶仍有after taste, 很難得吧!

也想說說這個瀨尿蝦. 一向都知道有瀨尿蝦壽司, 但就是從來未吃過, 總是覺得怪怪的. 今日"被迫"要試. 初時小妹說覺徥很怪, 質感也跟壽司不相配. 但吃到一半, 我和豬認為蝦的鹹香味跟壽司很配! 是非常有驚喜的! 平時吃中式瀨尿蝦吃得多, 也似乎未遇見過這種香味, 日本人對壽司的研

寶物尋歸底, 要叫我們最最吃驚的是~~~蟹子壽司~~~!!! 這不是小朋友最喜歡的壽司之一嗎? 不是在一般壽司店是最便宜之一嗎? 以上兩種都可能是, 而且"大人"總是著眼在高級食材的壽司... 我倆沒想過這個蟹子會是這麼鹹香, 這麼有味道!! 可能吃很平蟹子多, 印象就是又鹹又腥, 有的甚至連腥味都沒有, 是一堆沒有味道的膠質東西! 但這個真叫我倆改觀!! 吃罷整個口都充滿了蟹子香味, after taste也久久不散, 非常愛! 可能下次都要再叫試一試~~

最後以綠茶和芝麻雪糕作為午餐的總結,還有一小杯咖啡. 咖啡淡如水, 但這不是我的重點, 所以也不太介意. 而我的芝麻雪糕做得不錯, 味道很熟悉, 相信都是來路貨. 反而豬的綠茶雪糕就嫌有點過苦, 可能綠茶粉重手了...

p.s. 大家可能奇怪這個題目有點奇怪, "小三" 意指近來的潮語, 有第三者或第三位的意思. 先是這間食店在我今日的名單中是排第三, 而即使小妹對它的評價都是正面的, 但總是覺得它觸動不到我心的感覺... 湖舟, 見城就是能觸動我心的日式食店... 所以要比較的話, 這裡又是排第三呢... 所以小妹一直相信食店與食客的關係也講緣份, 就好似有些人你一見就心裡喜歡, 知道能夾得來一樣.. 這間食店不是不好, 只是和小妹只可以維持普通朋友的關係呢

先來介紹件池魚壽司刺身切得厚薄適中,不過面層的皮就起得不夠靚仔了,魚的肉質偏腍,不過肉的纖維細嫩無筋,入口如溶化,魚味又的而且確是欠缺了一點,不過味道上最致命的,是那件壽司飯真的挺酸,再比較此件壽司飯及其後而來的壽司,這一件的飯確是特別酸,何解?

鯛魚都是油份比較低的魚類來吧,薄切的魚肉有咬勁,又夠爽口清脆,不過魚肉帶點筋,幸而那清新的魚香驅走那一點點的缺陷,配配上粒粒飽滿黏身的壽司飯,其實真的非常不錯,不過個飯都是酸了一點。

左口魚看來不太像左口呢!師傅又是切得夠簿身,發揮了其爽脆的口感,不過吃起來說,個人認為口感上,有點在池魚與鯛魚之間,腍中有點筋及咬口,清清淡淡的,可就是不過不失吧。

之後已經是數到赤身了,外表如血紅色的一塊大綿花,吃入口吞拿即溶冇筋,油脂不高但魚味相當之濃,配上濃味一點的米飯,這一件以整體來說,就真的不錯了。

鯖魚壽司上的那片魚生呈現超奇怪的形狀,由於此魚的保鮮期非常之短,很易會變,通常在市面吃的,都是醋鯖魚壽司,不過竟然今天可以吃到沒有醋漬過的,師傅為了要辟這款魚的腥味,就加入了一堆薑,入口有不錯的有魚油,之後那薑味幾出,但又不會太霸道,配上味道濃而偏酸的米飯,其實又真的不錯。

穴子壽司其實即是星鰻,肉質細膩而沒魚腥及河鰻的泥味,所以吃入口這鰻魚真的是比一般的腍及化,掃上點點的醬跟壽司飯一起吃,酸甜平衡中又見鰻魚肉肥美甘香之感,不錯。

小肌的樣子非常之美,反光之中有數條刀痕,入口肉質結實,魚味很濃而又滲出一陣鹹鮮味,配上酸了一點的壽司飯,也是合格有餘。

最後的海膽都是以軍艦形式出場,那塊紫菜卷得不夠實,看來有缺陷,但真的想不到午市的海膽壽司,海膽的份量不少,而且又不會有水汪汪的情形出現,吃起來冇異味,不過同時又都沒什麼鮮味,紫菜又確是腍了一點,但那陣豐富的油潤感,以在香港的一個午市來說,算是不錯的了。

也分享了「唔太」份套餐內的食物,味噌湯湯身深色透光度低,麵豉磨蓉的粒粒浮沉於湯水之中,喝入口夠熱之外,也有頗為濃郁的麵豉味,不過豆腐及海苔就真的少得可憐,多一點會比較好呢。

小吃分別有一點漬物及海草莖,前者黃色的大根鹹爽,紫蘇漬物就非常之酸,用來下飯都真的不錯;海草莖混入了點點如腐皮的東西,與甘筍絲一起去炒,吃起來有種不錯的鹹香,海草莖幼嫩中帶爽口的感覺,又是用來下飯也不錯,又突然想起吃碗稀粥都不錯,但本人就真的不知日本人是否流行這麼樣吃了。

鹽燒鯖魚是完整的半尾魚,看來是燒得乾身了一點,不過塊魚皮就又脆,又不油膩,魚肉入口果然是乾了一點,吃起來又不太夠鹹,所以吃得出魚肉的原味,再加點青檸汁,是去了點油膩,甚或是腥的感覺,始終午市用來作燒魚的食材,不太新鮮是絕不稀奇,但肉厚香口,都算很是不錯的了。

伴來的米飯煮得蠻黏口的,不過飯粒好像不太飽滿,咬口方面差了一點。

吃畢所有鹹食之後,店家送來甜品雪糕,二人要了一個士多啤梨味及綠茶味,先不談其味道,雪糕質感不太滑,吃入口竟然有冰,然而士多啤梨味的雪糕真的幾香甜,帶着輕柔草莓的味道,不俗的;而綠茶味始乎就偏重於奶味多一點,沒多大的茶味,那當然沒有一口甘的感覺吧。

餐後的咖啡帶點酸味,但不過份是在可接受範圍之內,油潤甘醇度不足,不要拿它跟意式咖啡比,那麼不公平,但想到光是跟本人昨夜,在港式豉油西餐結尾喝的一杯咖啡,都還要比這一杯好的話,那又如何呢?想好喝一點嗎?加點奶就成了,加了奶之後就只有奶精的味道,至少不酸不苦。

結賬大概二百多不到三百,個人認為此店的午市定食之中,壽司的質數是較為有保證,那燒魚在很多別家的燒鳥店,比它做得好的非常之多吧,看來大家來的時候,就知道要點什麼了吧。

Sashimi getting smaller and smaller.Too much rice and balance of taste pretty bad.Usually I ask waiter for recommendation at any restaurant.Somehow the chef was yelling at me from the counter and stared at me with very mad face.What a unprofessional attitude. The quality of taste is not as good as before, chef's attitude totally impolite.
Totally ruined the day.
The meal is not only taste is important. Environment and attitude of waiter makes the meal better or worse.
I would never go back to Sushi Shota again.

雖然而家個個都話怕食日本野, 但係我地一行四人一向有鋪食日本野既癮, 所以一於唔理照食, 哈哈=] 琴日Lunch 就決定去翔太過下口癮啦~~果然生意真係淡左好多,上個月去食, bar 台都坐滿人, 今次就只係得3-4台, 仲要多數都係外國人......今次叫左壽司8件+烏冬lunch set, 前菜係燉蛋, 蛋入面有蟹柳, 肉碎同冬菇,一聞已經好香蛋味, 食入口仲好滑好暖, 去到個胃都仲有暖意的.而壽司仍然好fresh, 三文魚肥厚,唔點wasabi 都得, 因為o係魚同飯中間已經有薄薄的一層wasabi,再點只會蓋左魚既鮮味, Tuna 一d都唔腥, 仲有少少甜甜地tim, 腐皮又係甜甜地好好味, 而且珍珠米好有口感好有米香, 所以壽司都好好味,跟餐的烏冬雖然無配料只係得湯同紫菜, 但係都大大碗, 只係食碗烏冬都已經飽左一半, 而且湯底唔咸好有味, 烏冬煙un 有口感,即使無配料都好滿足,最後跟餐有杯coffee,雖然細細杯, 但係就夠濃夠滑口, 相信應該係ucc coffee 來的, 因為見到既珈啡奶都係ucc 的~~=] 呢餐lunch 真係好滿足, 幅射射到黎都要食ar~~=

唔點wasabi 都得, 因為o係魚同飯中間已經有薄薄的一層wasabi,
再點只會蓋左魚既鮮味,

跟餐的烏冬雖然無配料只係得湯同紫菜,
但係都大大碗,
只係食碗烏冬都已經飽左一半,
而且湯底唔咸好有味,
烏冬煙un 有口感,
即使無配料都好滿足,

最後跟餐有杯coffee,
雖然細細杯,
但係就夠濃夠滑口,
相信應該係ucc coffee 來的,
因為見到既珈啡奶都係ucc 的~~=]

我和朋友應該是當晚最早到達的.不知道是經理還是老闆很殷勤招待我們.我認為壽司處理得很好. 當然包括我最愛的蛋壽司.麵豉湯最好暍, 有點清酒味. 牛肉飯也很有水準茶太燙了, 大家小心呀!我最喜歡看著師傅努力地預備食物. 讓我吃得很安心.環境很安靜, 適合談話.價錢適中.

Decided to try Sushi Shota last night on a friend's recommendation, only to walk into the restaurant and realize we had been there before about one year ago! Luckily, we enjoyed it last time we were there. We had previously tried the set menu (they had a buy one, get one for 50% off promotion), that was good but nothing remarkable. At that time, we were the only people in the restaurant beside one other couple. What a huge difference last night! The whole restaurant was full - both tables and sushi bar. The staff was friendly and (slightly) overly-attentive in that endearing Japanese way (example: the waitress stood over me for almost 10mins while I reviewed the extensive sake/shouchu menu). We ordered a bottle of slightly sweet and easily drinkable sake ($190) and my boyfriend had a sesame shouchu to start (which he really enjoyed). We ordered a-la-carte and had an excellent selection of sashimi - scallop, fatty tuna, hamachi, amberjack (seasonal fish). I initially thought the fatty tuna was pretty expensive at $350, but the slices were huge (probably 3x the size at most sushi places) and it was marbled with fat like no tuna I had ever seen! The amberjack was also very good with a lovely, creamy texture. Quantities were abundant. The deep-fried tofu was nicely battered & fried and the tofu itself was soft and perfect. Miso soup was also good. We also ordered a few pieces of sushi where were of high quality. Even though the waitress thought we would be full by then, we decided to also order the special shota roll which had minced tuna, squid, salmon - 8 large rolls. We polished it off and finished the evening with two sweet Japanese oranges which were very tasty. Although the meal was quite expensive ($2000 for dinner for 2), the sushi was high quality. In fact, we watched one of the chefs skin and gut a huge fresh fish right in front of us!

就來一客Omasake,再加一個牛肉烏冬和鹽燒牛舌好了

Omasake有三種價錢,應該是價錢越高就越多嘢食,食材也越好
至於具體有什麼分別,問服務員當然又是不知道

我認為,服務員不知道是可以理解的,原因是Omasake吃什麼是由廚司決定
服務員的敷衍態度令人感到氣結.
"貴嘅多幾舊刺身,平嘅少啲"真係廢話中嘅廢話

食物水準方面,以翔太的價錢來說是超值的
刺身有兩件厚厚的拖羅,有少少筋但油香豐腴,吃後齒頰留香

不是因為味道,而是牙帶魚由於濫捕關係,數量正不斷下降.

食到這裡服務員忽然告訴我們今天沒有公魚天婦羅,會以蘿蔔煮buri魚取代
本身對天婦羅沒甚興趣的我當然沒問題,結果buri魚也沒有令我失望
buri魚是指大條的油甘魚,本身十分肥美,廚司用魚鮫位加味噌蘿蔔同煮
蘿蔔香甜,魚鮫滑漏.熱食之中這道菜我最滿意
這舊蘿蔔真的超甜,buri魚反倒成為配菜.

the sashimi and sushi set came with a lot of side dishes, and this was first to arrive. the custard was pretty solid and very eggy and not much taste to it apart from 'eggs' - i.e. there wasn't enough dashi added to the mixture. there was no seafood but only a few pieces of mushroom.... definitely no where near Naozen's.

mashed potato salad, iceberg, cucumber, tomatoes, fish roe
T downed this one for us, as we don't like potatoes much...

udon
thick udon, hot shoyu broth
udon was too soft for me - i still prefer the thin and chewy or flat udon noodles....

miso soup, pickles
nothing crazy good here - miso soup was just plain with spring onions.

sushi and sahimi platter
sushi: negitoro (fatty tuna & spring onion) maki, uni gunkan, salmon roe gunkan, snapper, steamed shrimp, tamago, salmon, yellowtail, fatty tuna
sashimi: octopus, lean tuna, sweet shrimp, salmon, clam, yellowtail, hirame (flounder), mackerel

whilst most of the sushi were fairly fresh, my favourite being the negitoro maki, the sashimi disappointed. the sashimi today were mostly the inexpensive kinds - something you would expect for their normal sashimi sets, rather than a premium set. we weren't given any toro save for the one piece on top of the sushi, and even so, the lean tuna which we were given was no longer fresh and was quite oxidised....it was actually inedible =(. Mackerel sashimi was nice though.

Teriyaki beef set
appetizer of korean-like japchae came with the beef teriyaki set. weird pairing, but ok.

grilled sliced beef, mayo, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, shredded cabbage
beef was way way way too tough, and it tasted..... a lot like a burger patty for some reason
the bowl of rice was also dishearteningly your typical long-grain rice, rather than Japanese pearl rice

after being rushed to pay, we were rushed to order our flavours for ice cream too... and decided on sesame and green tea ice cream:
sesame - bits of ground sesame in the icecream for a bit of texture, different but strong and yummy
green tea - not as strong nor bitter as i would have liked - you can probably tell from the light green colour...but nonetheless edible

our meal ended with a cute cup of coffee to end, served with miniature ucc creamers
