I was not expecting much when I visited Tai Woo. It’s decor and service is like the average Chinese restaurant but I was quite surprised by its food quality given it’s price point.

We ordered those standard meal for 12 so the dishes are very common but most of them are well executed. Quite a good place to go for a normal family dinner.

Recommendations:
• Suckling pig (Crunchy)
• Lobster with fried vermicelli (well executed)
• Sesame chicken (so juicy and nice with the sesame on top!)

Price: HK$400 pp (dinner)

好多好野食揀。我哋叫左蟠龍鱔($218),脆皮BB鴨($68),潮洲糖醋煎兩面黃($68),杏汁雪耳勝瓜($98),白飯($16),最後包埋甜品($18)。首先有一小碟油炒花生魚仔開胃。之後上BB鴿,一食係多油多滋味,皮就唔脆,有紅薑開胃,配有鹽同豆瓣醬。之後有菜,杏汁暖胃,食到淡淡杏仁味。兩面黃同醋白砂糖分開上,可自行決定酸甜度。兩面黃上有少許葱 白,同醋食,脆口又開胃。最後上菜係龍蟮,葱花同豆豉一齊煮,用魚汁撈飯食一流。d魚火候啱啱好,d肉爽口嘅,有豐富的膠原蛋白。最後送上蛋散同蓮子紅豆沙,蛋散厚粉不太脆,落左蜜糖,紅豆沙則不會太甜,有陳皮的回甘味。待應態度不錯。值得一試!

上次去都已經係八月嘅時候質素保持水準,繼續支持冇乜特別嘢好寫因為來來去去都係嗰幾味都叫咗條清蒸瓜子不過唔記得咗影相而家比以前相對容易有枱飯後依然送蛋散同埋紅豆沙員工依然好有禮貌同埋好醒目尤其是啲upsell 👍

星期日到太湖飲茶,發現太湖的點心食得出由點心師父親手做,整體都意外地好食。除了點心紙上的點心,有時職員會整盤食物由廚房托出,食物份量有限,食客清盤後就沒有/要再等待新一盤出爐,其中炒麵同迷你菠蘿包就是例子。當日食的點心整體味道滿意:叉燒酥新鮮重牛油味,餡料足;炒麵香口夠乾身;馬拉糕夠鬆軟且不鬆散。比較下,燒賣就略粉。迷你菠蘿包有夠新鮮,不過咬落時皮與包即分離就扣了些分,但餡料特別,不太肯定是否由蓮蓉加豆而成,如遇到出爐可以一試,坊間的確少見這味道的迷你菠蘿包。總括而言,點心食到點心師父心機,員工亦很友善很有記性,會用心去記你的order,故對太湖印象還好。
