主廚Michael多才多藝,曾是酒店的大廚,
創立The French Table至今已有十多年了,
服務細心親切的Elaine,是Michael漂的太太,主要招待客人🤩

是晚飯菜式豐富,打頭陣的,
是開胃醒神、鮮甜美味的海鮮拼盤😋

隨之而來的是金黃香脆、入口銷魂的香煎鵝肝配紅桑子汁,
以及汁香味濃的鵝肝雲吞配黑松露香檳忌廉汁😛

跟著上桌是嚐法國菜必試的龍蝦靚湯,
龍蝦湯味濃郁,以餐包點著慢慢往嘴裏送,不覺間包藍與碟子已被淘空😆

主菜是皮脆肉香的法式焗油封鴨脾,
和香味撲鼻,肉質嫩滑的日本A4和牛西冷,
兩道菜吃得人滿嘴香盈,什麼減肥計劃都被拋到七層地獄去了,

到甜點上場了🤤
來的是吃了一個世紀,還依然愛戀著的凍朱古力餅配雪糕,

最後,為這難得的一餐畫上完美句號的,
是壼清新芳香的花茶,
香茶入口,茶味在嘴內不斷地回甘打滾,有餘未盡,
至此,肚子早感覺幸褔滿滿的,
快樂,便是如此簡單😇

這兒勝在吃得夠隨和,飯腳們可以放鬆心情邊吃邊聊😄
而且,餐廳還免切餅與開瓶費旳哩🥳

平凡又驚喜的一餐。我哋叫咗兩個set dinner。Starter 係龍蝦同埋魚生,襯埋啲蘋果片感覺幾清新。另一個係truffle foie gros ravioli,但係鵝肝味唔出眾,俾啲松露味掩蓋左。Mains有cod fish同龍蝦浸係龍蝦湯到,識落好Juicy。玩一個係油封鴨髀。鴨肉香濃加埋個皮係脆嘅。同埋啲汁都好濃味。甜品就冇乜驚喜,不過穩陣自選,好食嘅。Cream brûlée 蛋香好濃,表面嘅糖層燒到好香脆。另一個喺蘋果撻,加埋雲呢拿雪糕都係穩陣之選。

The restaurant is a cozy one. Do not expect the type of glamorous decoration. It is comfortable though. I had a booking at 6:30p.m. since I worried about the crowd. I believe that the menu is designed for people in Hong Kong. Not hard to understand at all.

Since there were only my mum, my sister and me, we only ordered a 3-course set for each. Since my mum likes oysters, we ordered two as a starter for her. Before we got the dish, we had a basket of buns. Taste very decent. We each ordered a different type of soup. Onion soup, lobster soup and bouillabaisse. The onion soup was a bit salty. The lobster soups was a bit bitter and the bouillabaosse was simply perfect.

For the main dish, the pork chop was out of stock. So, we ordered the French pigeon, the duck confit and the beef cheek. The duck confit was crunchy on the outside and moist from the inside. The pigeon was special and the smell was great. I would prefer the steak to the beef cheek next time.

For the dessert, we ordered icing fruit, chocolate lava cake and cream brulee. In general, I discovered that French desserts are very sweet. Hongkongers might find it a bit hard to finish them. The owner was nice enough to offer us a pot of hot tea to soften the sweetness.

今年慶祝情人節,不嬲鍾意食私房菜,貪環境寧靜舒服,食物質素都比較好,就試吓呢間。到達時店員好有禮貌送上暖水同麵包,味道都好好,坐左陣,有一位男人同女人係廚房方向走出來,但無帶口罩,見到佢哋出入幾次,男士仲聽到有咳過2聲,係大家好緊張疫情的時期,印象立刻大打折扣。特別於廚房準備食物,也見他為客人上過菜,帶口罩讓客人食得安心也頗重要。另外,當晚廚房內不停傳出很大的對話聲,和之前吃過的私房菜的寧靜舒適環境有別,不過可能是當天太忙,但有改善空間。最後,店員下錯了單,向店員表示時她也很不好意思,但沒有更換的意思,只問我們介唔介意食錯了的菜。我們不介意照要了,但其實私房菜餐廳好像想走較高級的路線,好像幫客人改回下錯單的菜會比較好。整體而言,食物方面不差但也不特別,服務和環境也還可以。但敏感時期衛生做好點會比較好

The first visit was such a pleasant experience I decided to revisit with a larger group of friends to try more dishes.  Menu has changed somewhat and in my opinion a bit hit-and-miss.  The ravioli was changed to won ton wrapping which to me is cutting the corner - but the chef is entitled to his own interpretation of this dish.  Starter of grilled snail still as good as last time.  Rack of lamb pretty standard.  I would prefer the chef to stay with classic or modern French cuisine rather than go

Other Info. : The ambience is still very quiet and pleasant, perfect for romantic dinner or small group gathering. Glassware all very good but more suited to new world wines and bold red than delicate burgundy. Free corkage is a huge plus!
