When it comes to Italian food - I believe if you stick to quality ingredients and simplicity it cannot go wrong. However, one day we passed by here and saw what looked like one of the most 'innovative' Italian menus I've seen in Hong Kong, and thought 'hey maybe this will be a nice venture'Food ended up ok ok, but prices were exorbitant. Service wasn't great. Do not recommend.

The concierge was friendly and cheerful, with common sense, the rest of the team was just somehow dragging their time and not really motivated by their job. 100% Local feel, with the price similar to the big boys in Central. Someone was giving out coupons at the entrance, I took one out of courtesy without knowing what it was as the street was hot and I was just doing her a favour. Turned out it's a 20$ coupon, my friend didn't take it as we're together. The terms stated on the coupon, it's per lunch set per person, so I asked if we could have another coupon when I asked for the bill and realised it was applicable. They actually refused. Errrr... so do I have to go out to the entrance and ask that promoter to give me another one for the sake of it? That's ridiculous!
I feel I was scammed. On top of that, the so-called "homemade" pasta, well probably it's "homemade" but homemade has no relevant point to whether it tastes good or not, so in this case, it's of course better than joints like Spaghetti House but I don't see why I have to spend a good 200$ on this pasta.
And that chocolate gelato, the gelato itself was quite good, but I don't know why they put something like a chewed gum on top of it when it's served, I asked what that was, they said it's banana. You will see in the picture unedited. It's exactly that piece of thingy on my gelato when it's served. It's unappetising. After some dispute, they agreed to deduct the discount of 2 coupons, I paid 450$ for 2 pax including tips. I sort of regret why I even needed to leave a tip, but that was just my normal courteous practice I believe.
Last but not least, they should consider to repair the bathroom cubicle door, the lock was broken.

I went with a friend during regular lunch time on a weekday but the dish I wanted was already sold out, which is ridiculous in central/sheung wan. The menu is a false representation. The dish my friend got was way too salty. Honestly, with this price, you can do so much better anywhere else in central. Not worth the bucks.

其實店名也有特別意思,”Doppio” Zero是意大利文,意思是指”Doppio Zero 00”,00就是指00級意大利最幼細的麵粉去制作最為傳統的意大利麵
,這樣的製作可以讓意大利麵的口感更為細膩滑溜


第一次來到Trattoria Doppio Zero,Step和娘子對Menu完全不熟識,結果還是交由壽星仔女拍板,除了有必點的手工制意粉外,還會order一點肉類(為Step而設的)、小食、甜品等,務求可以滿足大家口味。

首先order飲品,每一位朋友仔都order咖啡或紅白酒,但Step卻order了一支很特別的飲品,就是來自日本的白鶴 有氣清酒『淡雪』
,據Waiter所講,這支有氣清酒是餐廳特意尋找回來的,原因在於一次的美酒博覽會上,廚師與品酒師試到這個有氣清酒,發現味道和意大利菜極為匹配,於是便購入來配搭自家菜式

有如香檳般華麗的日本有氣清酒
一定要試試…』Waiter跟Step說…

一般有氣的飲品,冷藏後或冰鎮後飲用最佳,所以Waiter送來時,『淡雪』已經被雪得冷冰冰;清酒配上一只香檳酒杯,將『淡雪』倒進杯內,整體感覺有如在喝香檳一樣,只是顏色清晰透明,也沒有像香檳般不斷有氣泡從底部飄上來


Step先用鼻嗅一嗅,香味和日本清酒差不多,卻不是非常強烈的酒氣,嚴格來說更可說是帶點甘香的味道
;入口小酌,清酒氣量沒有香檳般多,味道雖然帶有一點清酒味,但喝後喉嚨卻一點乾辣的感覺也沒有,Step立即看看酒樽,原來酒精含量只有5%,跟一般的啤酒酒精含量差不多
;最令Step驚訝的是清酒味道帶點香甜的回甘味道,非常容易入口,女士實在不容錯過這支『淡雪』的日本有氣清酒

用來配搭味道濃郁的意大利菜式,這支『淡雪』和喝紅白酒來比較,果真是別有一番風味呢…

送來時,發現麵包旁邊只有一碟橄欖油而沒有意大利黑醋呢


Waiter說一般餐廳都會提供橄欖油和意大利黑醋給顧客用來蘸麵包來提味,但由於黑醋味道濃郁,用來蘸他們新鮮制作的麵包就會破壞麵包原有的質感和味道,所以他們只會提供橄欖油
,當然如果顧客還是要黑醋的話,他們也會提供呢

當中最特別的地方就是將Mozzarella Cheese用分子料理的方法,打成泡抹送上,為何要這樣做呢


原因一般的洋蔥湯會加入芝士增加鹹香來提味,不過這個方法會令芝士蓋過了洋蔥湯的原有鮮甜味道,而Trattoria Doppio Zero廚師深深明白這個道理,經過一輪鑽研之後,便用了這個方法來制作洋蔥湯,令洋蔥湯可以帶出一點芝士的味道而不會破壞洋蔥湯的味道

先送上的就是一碟橙紅色的意大利麵,壽星仔說這個是蕃茄意大利天使麵,開始時大家以為天使麵用上了橙紅色的蕃茄醬所撈勻而成,但原來並非如此,廚師將有機的新鮮蕃茄和00級意大利最幼細的麵粉一起去制作

,這個就是來自美國的肉眼牛扒,可能大家覺得美國肉眼牛扒沒有甚麼特別,但上碟時卻連同了2支大大條的牛骨髓伴碟,令這碟牛扒頓時變得與別不同


不過美國肉眼牛扒也不是泛泛之輩,牛隻來自一個意大利家族開設的美國農場,專門飼養牛,飼料選用和養飼過程皆有嚴格品質控制,令牛肉保持高品質

Waiter介紹時說推薦我們一塊牛扒一羹牛骨髓,令肉味更為濃郁可口

),牛扒被燒至Medium Rare,在這個狀態的牛肉眼扒,顏色依然保持粉嫩的血紅色,但碟上沒有任何的血紅色肉汁流出,不習慣吃較生牛扒的人士可以會對這個慢燒牛肉眼有點抗拒呢


Step入口時第一個感覺是牛肉眼的質感軟綿油潤,完全沒有血腥的味道,加上肉汁豐盛,咀嚼時肉汁應聲在牛肉中『咇』出來
;牛肉肉味異常突出香濃,果然是特別挑選過的美國牛肉,口感鮮嫩軟熟
,不過肉質還是帶點質感,始終還是美國牛種,保留了美國牛肉的特性
;牛肉眼的邊緣位置口感香脆可口,脂肪看似入口油膩難以入口,但Step的感覺卻是覺得和牛扒一樣滋味惹味,加上帶點嚼勁,實在令人很難不吃肉眼牛扒中的脂肪,幸好廚師在牛扒上放了檸檬草和香草醬,減少了油膩感令喉腔負擔減輕了不少,不過Step最愛就是牛柳伴随著脂肪一同進食方為最佳口感和味道

Waiter所講,一般的餐廳不會用將牛骨膸和肉眼牛扒一起上碟,主要原因是要和肉眼牛扒份量size差不多的牛骨髓,價值不菲,如現在Grilled USDA Prime Ribeye的size,已經比肉眼牛扒的成本更高了

這個甜品絕對是令人驚喜,首先,雪糕就是自家制的粟米雲尼拿雪糕
這個是Step和娘子第一次食到的味道,粟米味不俗,將雲尼拿味道完全蓋過了,但以Step口味來說,甜味還是有點過了火
(娘子卻說味道適中
);

至於甜品底部的布甸才是這個甜品的精華所在,微熱的布甸,卻散發出香味十足的粟米味道,加上布甸表面的焦糖燒得焦脆,布甸口感又香又滑
,當中放了不少粟米粒在裡面,令布甸無論味道與口感除了粟米,還是粟米,粟米味道大爆發
,不過甜味則較為輕手一點,不算突出;所以在進食時,雪糕和布甸還是要一起進食才可以令甜味均勻一點
娘子和Step也吃得笑逐顏開,完全愛上這個Sweet Corn & Vanilla Pudding甜品

逛着逛着,今天來了這裡午膳,午餐太約消費$200。午飯時間,餐廳已有7成坐上客。待應有禮的帶我就坐,先來一杯熱咖啡,小吃點了脆炸芝士,一碟有3粒,愛芝士的應該會喜歡。主食點了肉丸茄醬闊麵,賣點麵、丸全是自家制,肉丸只有3粒,比多幾粒就更好,因為太好味了。甜品提拉米蘇,內有爆炸糖,配搭很好。手工意粉絕對的是吸引我進來的原因,而且意粉沒有讓人失望,夠彈夠濕。雖然食物份量偏少,但也足夠滿足我的肚子,下次我還是會來光顧。

最後甜品"tiramisu"絕非一般貨,自家制之餘還配上朱古力爆炸糖,確有驚喜,"amaretti gelato"杏仁味雪糕配香蕉,見不到香蕉但吃到蘋果果肉,喜歡蘋果配雪糕,甜而味美。

整體而言,食物份量偏少,但足夠女生享用。手工意粉的餐廳不多,還是值得來試試。

離開餐廳時,雨停了,親切的接待員微笑道別,同時提醒我們取回雨具。今日就在這裡好好享受了一個午飯時光。
