相信大家去到銅鑼灣....都會覺得係呢一區食嘢一定好貴....老實講....如果係呢一區食糖水我相信...粗粗地食碗紅豆沙都起碼要30-40元左右....點知今晚來呢間糖水店....真係平到你唔信睇過門面都係比較懷舊嘅糖水店...我相信係香港都已經買少見少啦...淨係睇到啲價錢....都已經覺得抵到爆炸好耐未食過唔使$20嘅糖水仲要喺銅鑼灣呢啲地區叫左碗芝麻湯圓....雖然個糖水冇乜味道....不過啲湯圓尚算軟滑但係呢個咋喳就差左少少.....因淡而無味....而且好似放咗喺雪櫃好耐咁我老友就叫咗碗桑寄生茶...佢話都唔錯唔太甜...而且都幾足料

My friend recommended this dessert place for cheap but good quality Chinese desserts.We both ordered Walnut soup with milk pudding ($20). The milk pudding was not as smooth as I imagined, but the taste is rich. For the walnut soup, it tasted nice and thick, but I hope the portion is larger.

銅鑼灣食甜品有大把選擇,中英美法日再cross over既比比皆是,但要食番碗簡簡單單既糖水反而困難,因為租金昂貴,唔整色整水又點賣得起價喎,難得翠苑係銅記開分店,呢間野既糖水好簡單直接,花生糊丫、芝麻糊丫同埋相入面既合桃糊,全部都係傳統大家由細食到大既款式,絕對你係一睇餐牌就知佢咩胡蘆就係賣梗咩藥果款,但勝在真材實料,絕無取巧造作。好似呢碗合桃糊,甜度同糊度適中,入口順滑,合桃既堅果香味突出,反樸歸真值得一試。

現在糖水店越多越多,而且花款也越來越多種類。無論是中式的還西式的,已經演變得很多變化。現在傳統的糖水店好像已經不多了。這家翠苑在很多地方都開了分店,他們家價錢又不貴,最貴的大概20元左右。餐牌如下: 這分店開在銅鑼灣,跟朋友逛一下累了進去坐一下,他們的坐位不會太迫,聊天不錯的地方。腐竹薏米 $15才15元,真的好便宜。味道還算正常,不會太甜。蕃薯糖水湯丸 $23附上兩顆芝麻湯圓的蕃薯糖水,吃完身體好暖和。姜味好濃,不錯。

There are many dessert places in Causeway Bay but there is not actual old school style dessert place. You know the type: red bean dessert soup, green bean dessert soup. None of those things added with ice cream, mochi or anything else. Just the way you mom makes it.

Tsui Yuen Dessert is just such a place. A few years ago, they had a shop in Causeway Bay, near the Times Square tram stop where I would be tempted to have a bowl before taking the tram home. But rent increased and it closed and moved back to North Point. Recently, they reopened again in Causeway Bay. Located behind the new Tower 535, the shop is now much larger and more green in color.

Menu is in Chinese and English. They serve basic old style Chinese desserts. It's cash only and there is no 10% service charge. You do have to order by yelling out your order to the staff. And oddly, you pay by just walking over to the cashier and pointing to where you sit. It may seem strange but they know exactly what they are doing as the few times I've been back, they haven't messed up my order yet.

I ordered this. Sweet beancurd sheets with ginko nuts ($19). You can add a few more dollars for an egg.  Like all Chinese soups (be it savory or sweet), there are health benefits. It supposedly lowers cholesterol, makes your skin healthy and glowing. Yes, something so sweet can be healthy, too! The dessert wasn't too sweet but just the right amount. There was some barley also found in it. It tasted a lot like warm soymilk with strands of tofu skin for a bit of bite.

Boyfriend ordered this: a walnut paste soup ($17). Originally he wanted cashew paste but they only have limited bowls and was sold out. We did return another evening and they had cashew available and he ordered that on that night. But on this night, he had walnut. It was super thick and creamy. It had a strong nutty flavor. Boyfriend preferred the walnut more than the cashew.

I did return again on another evening and ordered the steam milk with black sesame paste. It was interesting as they had injected black sesame into the steamed milk instead of just pouring it on top like some places. That I would recommend as well.

Very glad that this has opened in Causeway Bay. Now, I have another after dinner dessert option. But more traditional than trendy. This is good as there are evenings when I want something less trendy and have a feeling of home.

約左朋友去massage,時間未到本想找家茶記飲杯野,點知行經景龍街原來開左間翠苑,二話不說即刻拉友人入去。翠苑的北角分店我已光顧過N次,喜歡他們的中式甜品夠傳統,實而不華。銅鑼灣店是第一次,依舊簡潔的格局,我點了桑寄生蓮子茶,友人點了腐竹薏米雞蛋。兩碗糖水黎到時都好夠熱,呢點對於我來就都幾重要,最怕點熱野唔夠熱凍野唔夠凍。桑寄生蓮子茶,有著淡淡桑寄生香氣,剛剛好唔會太濃,太重桑寄生就會帶苦澀,甜度剛好唔會死甜,蓮子夠鬆夠軟,飲完覺得好潤喉舒服。腐竹薏米雞蛋,我嘗了一點,成碗都有腐竹片,唔似有些店煮到好似豆漿咁。腐竹好香滑,薏米同樣夠鬆軟,好味。

我和VIC先生傾得意猶未盡, 於是我提意和他去吃甜品。來到翠苑甜品銅鑼灣新店。雖然西式甜品無論賣相, 品種和味道也較多元化, 較吸引。但也無礙我對中式糖水的熱愛。這間翠苑甜品是如其他分店裝修一樣簡潔。我選擇了令人百吃不厭的 芝麻糊燉奶 $20熱辣辣糖水迅間放在面前質感Q彈如昔, 蛋白比剝殼雞蛋更滑 , 白中透出一點黑勢力。吃過也清楚步驟先試蛋白, 再試芝麻糊, 隨後再將兩者混合。而黑芝麻香味撲鼻, 味道香而不濃, 棉棉的芝麻糊和滑溜溜的蛋白合而為一,直滑入喉嚨中, 且甜度適中, 名乎其實是 快, 靚, 正的中式甜品。
