From visiting government offices to lawyer and solicitors to shop around for a reasonably priced notary all morning, I came to Verde Mar for lunch.Good Mexican food in Hong Kong is yet a hidden for me, in Hong Kong. 睇電視見到有個飲品叫Horchata，想試，開個 openrice app check，見 verde MAR 有，立即來試飲。入到去，有一刻感覺自己離開咗香港。Horchata：米漿加糖，自家口味加唔同果仁嘅凍飲，熱日炎炎，好味又消暑！朱古力飲：加咗肉桂同某啲香草嘅凍朱，又一杯消暑涼飲！招牌炸雞($99五件)：五件都係雞槌，味道 OK ，肉質軟硬適中，係有啲皮炸得比較硬咗少少。墨西哥鄉村蛋餅($98)：話係墨西哥經典早餐/早午餐，我又唔係墨西哥人，信佢咋。豆蓉味道有啲似芋泥。墨西哥蛋餅配料味道清新，少辣，略嫌個炸粟米薄餅同煎蛋太油。見餐牌有仙人掌食，未食過，侍應話似蘆薈，揾日再來試下。

家人生日打算帶去食D未試過的墨西哥菜，結果點菜時我話要A，佢問我係咪ABC各1，我話A，解釋好耐發現佢記錯第樣⋯然後珊上菜，不止一次上錯也，上錯都算了，仲要一路大叫一路話oh this is not yours(指住我們）this is yours（指住另外一檯）⋯成間餐廳得兩台，而且我地坐前後，是否需要叫到咁大聲？！！而且咁大聲真的不覺得騷擾食客嗎？我從來很少寫食評，只有很滿意同非常不滿意我先會寫，很難得這個我很不滿意

This was horrific. I've been here before and it was decent. The owner (I think) was present and his service was great. The food was decent - not like California good, but definitely good for Hong Kong. We came back last night and the service was TERRIBLE. The waiter / host was rude and the food quality had completely gone downhill. The guacamole was clearly watered down. The corn, which I normally love, was terrible. 生活無聊嗎? 加點趣味嗎? 午餐玩遊戲, 挑戰五隻墨西哥超辣雞翼, 一班嗜辣之人, 成群結隊去迎戰, 要3分鐘內吃完之外, 還要吃完雞翼之後3分鐘內不可飲其他飲料, 其實聽聞墨西哥的十級辣的辣椒,就算食開麻辣火鍋, 只要吃一口, 不經過味蕾,直接吞下, 個胃都好像被燃燒一樣,所以好期待做觀眾的興奮。我們先吃午餐打打底, 就由3位猛男迎戰。店員說只有5%可以完成, 增加左我們的緊張,結果比預期的無咁辣, 2分鐘多就完成了。他們的嘴唇紅了些, 無其他不良反應, 可能是亞洲人比較吃得辣。大家可以試下。

Verde Mar was outstanding. The owner and the Chef were happy to help with selections. Happy hour special drinks, BOGO. Perfect English and wonderful atmosphere. If you like it hot the wings are a must try. !!!

今日同兩個女同事本身一齊去大王東街嘅一間Cafe食嘢，點知太多人，等左十幾分鐘都唔覺有任何一枱就黎食完😣😣於是就行過幾間舖，見到呢間餐廳幾有特色，平時又少食墨西哥菜，最緊要係唔使等位，又坐得幾舒服咁，就二話不說入咗去啦。呢間野嘅裝修好重Halloween主題，我以為係因為啱啱過完Halloween未轉裝修。但係同事話原來呢間野一年四季都係呢個主題😂😂😂每張枱上面都有擺墨西哥最出名嘅仙人掌同埋一啲Postcard介紹墨西哥嘅旅遊景點，又幾得意😛😝我同我同事都叫咗芝士豬肉卷配沙律。本身個lunch set可以配豆蓉加飯 或者 轉沙律。本身諗住食得Fresh啲就叫沙律，點知中伏😰個沙律一啲沙律醬都冇，啲沙律菜勁乾勁難入口，好後悔🤧而個芝士卷我哋加左牛油果酸忌廉sauce就好食左，如果唔加應該會好乾。另外，個wrap芝士味都唔重😢唯一值得一讚嘅係杯嘢飲! 我哋叫咗肉桂米漿，好香好甜，有啲似椰奶味，值得一試！最後一定要提嘅就係...個侍應笑容非常之燦爛同熱情！☺️☺️☺️☺️佢見到我隔離個同事食唔晒，特登行過嚟問係咪煮得唔好食，攞返啲feedback，幾有heart!

成日食呢頭今日終於試到呢間幾出名嘅墨西哥餐廳❤️❤️ 就快Halloween 所以餐廳仲佈置得好有特色，可惜人多就冇點影到相啦🤦🏻‍♀️Lunch set start from $79-169. 揀左芝士薄餅餐，跟salad & fried rice& hot tea🙆🏻‍♂️ 芝士薄餅用左雞肉同豬肉個餡，整得幾惹味！而且落左好多芝士，睇落幾細份但食完2個已經飽到上心口😂 炒飯偏淡味，食左2啖太飽就冇再食！Salad 非常好地冇加dressing😻😻又幾fresh💁🏻💁🏻

灣仔挺多墨西哥菜選擇的，今天來到這家評價不錯的慶生。店內裝潢很特別，掛著一個個pinata，充滿墨西哥風情，侍應說是大廚閒時弄的，看來手藝不錯！pinata是墨西哥小朋友生日（？）的時候會戴眼罩蒙眼然後用棒球棒揮打的用紙製作的模型，打中（打爛）的時候會有糖果在裡面灑出來，很有節慶氣氛！直升機～盆栽。手靈心巧。頭盤叫了嘗鮮的仙人掌，不是很特別，整體沒什麼味道。本來以為會像海蜇那樣有嚼勁，但挺失望的。有點酸，整體來說不算美味。Cheese dip也是還好。最好吃應該是clams吧，很入味，很鮮。旁邊魚刺身也OK海鮮飯好吃！總的來說，還算ok，裝修比食物好，價錢小貴。

I went there on a Sunday afternoon, the resto was empty.Service: The waiter was really friendly.Food: Everything tastes really blend and not much flavour. 午膳時間與同事四出搵食，途經大王東街的 Verde MAR，主攻墨西哥菜，平日實在少吃，一於試試。貫徹其他墨西哥菜館的特色，內裡掛有很多富當地風味的掛飾，感覺特別。 筆者點了一客芝士薄餅套餐，內含雞脾肉及香汁芝士豬柳薄餅各一。蕃茄、洋蔥、香蔥及芝士基本上是兩者共同擁有的材料，所以口味上分別不大。相比平日吃的同款薄餅，這兩個薄餅的味道明顯偏淡了少許，建議輕蘸附上的辣汁味道會更理想。 墨西哥香蕉船是外加的甜點，香蕉經輕輕燒香，甜中泛酸，下暖上凍，頗有特式。

Worst Mexican food I ever had.... tasteless and expensive. Nachos of other Mexican places were way better. We had nachos , wet burritos , chimichangas and a jar of Margharita. The salsa n hot sauce were terrible too. Guacamole had no taste (salt m lemon) was just avacado mashed. Sauces were absolutely tasteless. Chimichangas were like spring roll with some terrible version of chilli mayo.

Everything inside Verde Mar stays true to Mexican style - the music, the Decor and OF COURSE the food and drinks!Drinks- I've always been a huge fan of the MIMOSA and MOJITO .... so I can decide "good or bad" in just the first sip.And as soon as I sipped that Mimosa.... I knew that I wanted more! And I finished it quickly and ordered my other favorite the Mojito. Verdict is - DEFINITELY GOOD DRINKS HERE! ( and I mean the alcoholic cocktail drinks .....
