呢間嘢想試好耐㗎啦,但係好多次行過佢都冇開門,原來佢係開十二點鐘嘅,無做早餐時段,今日見到佢開門於是乎走咗入去試下。我地叫咗两個set lunch 一個係“泡菜意粉“一個係“焗豬扒飯“ 講咗個泡菜意粉先, 個啲意煮粉得岩岩好,好有咬口,QQ嘅,個人醬又唔係太辣,但係就鹹咗少少,如果有多碗白飯撈賣黎食,應該會好正另外個豬扒飯番茄醬啱啱好,唔會太鹹太酸, 或者太多又或者太少,啱啱好夠食乜嘢飯, 側邊嗰啲飯有少少好似飯焦咁樣脆脆地好好味,豬扒啦唔會太硬or無咬口

當Step和娘子步行到亞皆老街與黑布街交界時,看到一間店舖門口無論外牆和招牌皆用了不同的木材排列,感覺特別,Step最愛就是『WOODS』名字用上了長條粗身的淺色木條所砌成,而底部則用了幼身深色的木條來襯托突出『WOODS』字,有層次又有立體感!!店舖除了用上了落地玻璃門和玻璃窗之外,中間還用了一塊塊原木用作瓷磚所砌成的木牆,不但和之前的名牌有互相呼應的效果,而且還加強了視覺立體感,正啊!!

進內後,內裡的裝潢與門口的風格差不多,四周盡是圍繞著木材,當日最令Step和娘子深刻的可說是餐廳的樓底甚高,增強了整體的空間感,也是因為高樓底的關係,WOODS在餐廳中間放了一棵大樹,而大樹的四周就被木檯所包圍著,感覺非常像在田園中用膳一樣,唯一可惜是大樹就只有wood而沒有葉子,如果有的話就令田園的感覺更為實在;

可能負責人覺得有整間餐廳只有木頭實在有點單調死寂,Step發現在天花的吊燈上放有數只雀鳥作裝飾,令這片以木為主題的室內地方加添了幾分生氣,可說是神來之筆呢…

看過今天Set Dinner的Menu後,Menu中明明有她最愛的蝦肉與帶子來作材料的主菜,但娘子說不合她的口味;Step想order美國肉眼牛扒,但Waiter提議Step order Menu中的肉眼牛扒,原因份量會再多一點,結果娘子和Step就在Menu中單獨Order。

今晚娘子出奇地order了這個黑松露雞肉意大利飯,實在令Step感到意外;送來時,看到一大塊已經被切得一塊塊的雞柳放在意大利飯的表面,原來雞肉的意思正正就是指雞扒呢…
雞扒的size有點嚇人,足足可以蓋過一半意大利飯的表面積,實在誇張;黑松露的香氣與烤雞扒的香味一同撲鼻而來,未食已經令人唾涎;

在進食意大利飯時,濃郁的黑松露香味撲鼻而來,可以看到每一粒米飯皆黏著烏黑色的黑松露,實在誇張,可以看出用料充足,進食時也可以嗅到黑松露的香氣,不過入口後卻被濃厚奶油帶的香味與味道所蓋過;
意大利米飯的口感較為正中,米飯中間帶著一點硬度的米芯,質感煙韌富嚼勁,幸好廚師將意大利飯烹調得濕度適中,令黑松露和奶油皆可以黏在米飯之上,令進食時令Step和娘子不致於感到有乾硬的感覺,加上略帶鹹香的奶油味道令這個意大利飯愈食愈滋味,實在令Step和娘子食得停不了口;就算是一個人自己將整個意大利飯吃完,也沒有令口腔有多大的負擔,整個意大利飯的體驗確實不錯呢…


美國肉眼牛扒(HKD238)(7♥/10♥)

喜歡吃牛的Step,當然就是order牛扒啦,本來想order套餐的肉眼牛扒,但明白套餐的份量未必足夠Step所享用,所以便order了Menu上的美國肉眼牛扒

Order時Step已經覺得奇怪,為甚麼Waiter並沒有問及Step牛扒需要多少成熟;當Waiter送來時,Step問他究竟這塊牛扒是多少成熟,Waiter則告訴Step一般客人在沒有要求多少成熟的情況下,廚師會以Medium為中間點…
噢,Step反而想要生一點,血一點啊,Medium Rare離我而去了 >.<…

這個美國肉眼牛扒跟平時吃的有點不同,在碟上的牛扒並不是一整塊上碟的,而是被廚師切成了一條一條的牛柳條,感覺有點奇怪,廚師為甚麼要這樣做呢?
唯一令Step想到的可能是讓客人不需要用刀將一整塊牛扒切開,進食時變得更為斯文優雅,不過卻少了一點自己親手將牛扒切成碎件的快感?!如果將所有牛柳條集合在一起的話,重量大小約為10Oz左右,以這個價錢來說實是合理。

整份美國肉眼牛扒廚師巧妙地擺放成三層,第一層就是鋪在牛柳表面的蔬菜沙律,包括有椰菜、生菜、車厘架和露荀,好讓客人在吃牛扒前先吃一點蔬菜,有心思;
中間就是一條條被切條的牛柳;
最底層在就是一粒粒炸得金黃色的薯仔,放在牛柳之下正好吸收了牛扒的肉汁,相信味道一定不俗呢…

Step立即起動品嚐牛柳,廚師在牛柳上已經放了燒汁,除了令牛扒多一份濕潤的口感,還令味道變得更為香濃;Waiter說牛扒的生熟度為Medium,用刀將之切開時還可以看到一點點粉嫩的感覺,但入口時卻不是想像中的口感,肉質雖然鬆化牛肉肉香滿溢、但口感乾身有點『柴口』,咀嚼感稍強好口咬口,感覺就像是廚師烹調時間有點過了火,令整體的口感味道大打折扣,不是Step喜歡的質感,如果你是喜歡稍為熟一點的牛扒,相信WOODS的Medium絕對非常適合你口味呢

Step很喜歡蔬菜中的露荀,一來份量不少,數一數差不多有8-9條,二來露荀清甜爽口,在吸收了牛柳肉汁之後味道份外惹味,令人一吃愛上;而炸薯仔粒也是非常味美,進食時可以感受到外脆內軟的口感,加上還有牛柳肉汁的加持,一樣滋味惹味,正啊!!


月光寶盒 – 木桶雪糕脆脆(HKD88)(7♥/10♥)

吃完主菜,又怎可以少甜品部份,娘子在Menu中看到一個甜品的名稱為月光寶盒,結果也是在好奇心的驅使下order了;Waiter說這個甜品制作需時,如要order的話,最好就在吃了一半主菜之後就和Waiter落單,否則可能要等一陣子才可享用。

等了一會之後,Waiter將一整個木桶放在Step和娘子的眼前,實在令我們眼前一亮,雪糕加上各式各樣你想得到的脆脆,如朱古力熊仔餅、薯片、旺旺、朱古力手指餅、麥提沙等,皆放在這個木桶之內;而雪糕則是三色雪糕,分別是士多啤士味、朱古力味和雲呢嗱味,每款皆有2球的份量。

Step覺得這個月光寶盒非常有趣,平常的餐廳在弄雪糕甜品時,大多會以朱古力或是軟糖糖漿等來製作,但WOODS竟然想到會所有日常生活的香脆零食作為材料,製作了別出心裁別具一格的甜品,特別是旺旺和薯片,實在很難想像可以和雪糕一起來做甜品,一邊吃雪糕,一邊『唰唰聲』地吃帶點鹹香的旺旺和薯片,2者結合在一起又出奇地Match,這個甜品果然是有創意呢!!

不過雪糕部份卻有點失色,味道稍為清淡了一點,如果可以用味道較為香濃的雪糕製作的話,相信整體味道可以更上一層樓

Step和娘子在這裡作出一個溫馨提示,如果是2個人又已經8成飽,我們不建議大家order這個甜品來享用,原因份量的確多,絕對可以供3-4個人享用,Step和娘子就是吃完整個月光寶盒之後,已經飽到不得了,差點兒吃不完呢。

Step對WOODS室肉以木材為主題的裝飾留下深刻的印象,特別是餐廳中間的大樹,還有以木年輪櫈,使客人感覺到自己身處在田園中用膳一樣;餐廳給人的感覺是安靜、和諧、優閒、豁然開朗…和一塊玻璃窗之隔的又嘈又多車又繁忙的亞皆老街有著強烈的對比,相映成趣;看到Step身邊的客人,一邊享受美酒佳餚,一邊在寧靜舒適的空間中和朋友高談闊論,那種放鬆了心情、亳無拘束、悠然自得的感覺,不正是人們身處在大自然的感覺嗎?!

Step覺得在這裡用膳不能夠來去沖沖的,一定要慢慢感受WOODS的大自然感受,待下次早一點下班時再來WOODS享用晚餐…同事果然沒有介紹錯呢。

Tonight, a good friend brought me to this restaurant in Mongkok for dinner. We ordered a few dishes to share.US Rib-eye Steak : We ordered medium while it came in medium-well. Nevertheless, meat was not too tough and still tasted ok. It served with fresh vegetables along the plate which made you feel less guilty when having steak.Spaghetti Carbonara : Good that the spaghetti was not over cooked and rather al dente. 每天回公司的途中都會經過這間餐廳, 早上看到它的時候, 感覺不是太起眼, 所以從來都沒有令我有想進去的意欲。直到今天朋友約了我到這間餐廳吃晚飯, 我才發現原來它室內的設計也蠻吸引人的。它的室內設計主要以啡色為主, 用木做牆、枱和椅子。餐牌上的食物款式也有很多, 我點了一個all day breakfast。All day breakfast原本是有炒蛋、麵包、蕃茄、茄汁豆、沙律、炒菇、香腸、煙肉、薯仔的。但由於我不喜歡吃香腸和煙肉, 所以我將它改為沙律。炒蛋炒得很嫩滑, 配麵包一起吃一流。我最喜歡的是它的炒菇, 炒菇帶點黑椒味, 很惹味。另外, 我點了一杯熱抹茶鮮奶來喝。抹茶鮮奶的抹茶味不夠突出, 奶味較重, 甜度適中。甜品方面, 我們點了一個芒果窩夫配雲呢拿雪糕。窩夫旁的芒果粒是用上新鮮芒果, 味道酸酸的, 很開胃。

weekday lunchtime~ 去左旺角食呢間woods~呢間餐廳都開左一段時間喇 成日都經過今次就甘岩有機會食個lunch入面裝修系幾舒服~ 主要用"木"黎做主題餐牌如上~  我地點左燒春雞同魚一點餐 侍應就話要等20-25分鐘心裡不禁諗 已經系set lunch架啦... 又唔系單點~ d野唔系應該可以快d咩加上其實得果三四枱人不過我地最後都決定等~ 當然~ 20分鐘都仲未上最後系要半個鐘先有得食~放假都冇問題既 但系我地食完之後仲要番工~ 所以都食得好趕所以大家想黎食~ 最好要有足夠時間等喇2個主菜都煮得好好 都唔怪得佢因為慢工出細貨肉很滑而皮好香脆是用心煮的菜式!總的來說~ 系要等耐d 不過野食系好食既~!

Passed by this restaurant in Mong Kok so I decided to try lunch here. The restaurant was pretty empty and only one table was filled although it was 12 already. There were 2 more tables filled around 1pm. I tried the deep-fried cheese ($78), which was gooey in the middle and very crispy on the outside. I would definitely recommend this if you're dining with your friends as you wouldn't want to have 6 of these to yourself. The pesto spaghetti with wild mushrooms ($128) was quite delicious as well.

I would recommend this place for lunch especially since there is no waiting time. However, I'm not sure about other days or times. The dishes are also at a reasonable price and they offer a variety of desserts that we didn't get to try unfortunately.
