I love the isaw very much! halo halo is okay ( i wish it has an icecream, I remember there were 2 kinds of halo halo ? anyway maybe I order the one without icecream. the have this lechon kawali and the dish was cut into 2 halves , i ask the staff if they could kindly cut it into small pcs because my mom cant chew big size due to lack of teeth, the staff was very accommodating and gave in to my request, kudos to that male staff! ( sorry i did not get your name, i will definitely ask for your name when i come back.) Will come back for the isaw! and the good service.

The place is pretty and we took the window 🪟 seats facing the street! The restaurant has an excellent location, and the drinks are really good. Most of the staff are very friendly. However, I don’t know why, even though there are plenty of seats indoors and a lot of sofas on the terrace, the reception at the entrance said that they couldn’t seat walk-in customers anywhere other than the uncomfortable bar stools facing the street. In fact, happy hour is very short, and after that, we will go back to dinner downstairs and there are not much customers when i get down. It’s strange that they don’t allow people to sit in more comfortable area.

This dish was a surprising fusion that worked beautifully. The chicken was juicy, and the cheese melted perfectly, making every bite satisfying🤤 For the main course, we ordered the **BBQ Platter**, which included grilled pork belly, ribs, and full chicken wings. Each item was cooked to perfection, with a smoky flavor that was simply irresistible. After visiting Tai Kwun, we headed to the restaurant across the street, CHUTNEY, for dinner. This place was full of surprises! The decor was opulent, resembling an Indian palace. The staff, dressed in suits, were very polite, and the view was great—we sat by the window overlooking the Tai Kwun building. The restaurant felt upscale, and the presentation of the food was artistic and delicious, perfect for festive or celebratory occasions. Appetizers: Sarson Malai Jheenga Crispy, tender prawns with a hint of mustard fragrance, delicately textured, and beautifully designed with colorful dots. Chicken Tikka Salad Juicy grilled chicken with yogurt dressing, cashews, and pomegranate—a refreshing and well-matched combination. Main Course： Chutney Butter Chicken A local butter chicken curry made with truffle yogurt. The taste is rich and creamy—definitely pair it with Naan for the best experience.

I've come here for dinner several times, and this time they offered a buy-one-get-one-free pizza deal 🍕. Wahhh, I can finish it with a buy-one-get-one-free beer. 🍺 The staff are still the same with excellent service. I couldn't finish my pizza and beer, and they proactively asked me, "Do you want to take it away if you can't finish it?" I really love this place for its good service and lovely atmosphere.

However, our experience was slightly clouded by the restaurant's popularity; it was fully booked that evening. While we appreciated the bustling atmosphere, the waiter informed us that we had a 90-minute limit to enjoy our meal. This time constraint added a bit of pressure, making us feel rushed as we savored the delicious food. Despite this minor issue, I highly recommend it to anyone in Hong Kong looking for delicious Italian fare in a vibrant setting. The star of my meal was undoubtedly the Shrimp Tomato Cauliflower Rice. This dish was a delightful medley of flavors and textures. The cauliflower rice was perfectly seasoned, providing a light and fluffy base that complemented the tender shrimp beautifully. The tomatoes added a refreshing acidity that brightened the dish, while a hint of garlic infused it with warmth. The portion size was generous, making it feel indulgent while still being guilt-free. This dish is a fantastic example of how cauliflower rice can elevate a meal, making it both satisfying and nutritious. Next up was the Pan-fried Pork Saddle with Mashed Potato. Accompanying it was the mashed potato, which was a surprisingly healthy take on a classic comfort food. Made with a slow-cooked method, the mash was creamy yet light, allowing the natural flavors of the potatoes to shine through without overwhelming richness. It felt indulgent but was clearly prepared with health in mind, making it a perfect complement to the pork.

If you love beautiful and delicious roll cakes, tiramisu, waffle and icecream, and you don’t mind sitting a bit closer to the adjacent table (it’s a little crowded during peak hours), definitely check this out. It’s one of the busiest cafes in Prince Edward, and their desserts are absolutely amazing. I’d begin with the desserts: their taro and earl grey roll cakes were to die for. The sponge cake was supple and well rolled like a towel, the cream was silky rich and there was soft stretchy fresh mochi inside! They honestly made me go woooh! Pistachio mochi tiramisu is a must-try too. Topped with crunchy toasted pistachio, the green mascarpone was rich, sweet and full of nutty flavours. Most amazingly there were chewy mochi cubes inside, I’ve never had tiramisu with mochi before. It was dinner time, we had two risottos. Salted egg risotto with stuffed crab was a surprising East-meets-West recipe. It tasted legit and savoury, loved it. Burgundy & mushroom risotto was served with tender braised beef cheeks. Drinks: I had the passion fruit & pineapple yogurt smoothie and it was so good! Refreshing, well blended, properly fruity and yogurty at the same time, and there were granolas and dried pineapple added too, what a great texture! Hot ginger honey with lemongrass was a nice winter drink. On the side: very crispy yuzu chicken wings, and delicious fried squid tentacles with mayo. The batter was mixed with seaweed and very appetising.

It’s almost five years since my office has moved from Wanchai to Kwun Tong, and there are so many changes it is just like another life. One thing I missed is the different restaurants I get to visit during lunch. Back then I can walk to Wanchai and Causeway Bay, with plenty of options in a vibrant dining scene. Osteria Marzia was still fairly new then, and I had visited a few times with my colleagues for lunch, where I recalled the food was quite decent.On this Tuesday evening, I finally return again to this Italian restaurant at The Fleming. In contrast to the bright streetlight outside looking out through the windows, its warm yellowish spherical lighting and wooden floor helps to create a relaxing and cozy ambience, with the high ceiling creating space and a sense of comfort.The restaurant has been focusing on seafood, and it is still the theme today. To pair, I have ordered a bottle of Umani Ronchi Plenio Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Classico Riserva 2020 ($828). The wine has a nice creaminess, probably due to the 12-month ageing process with lees, with also rich lemony citrus and herbal notes, plus good minerality. I am happy with my choice as the wine goes well with all the food we picked.The bread is some decent Scarbough Toast, but the highlight to me is definitely the serving of anchovies in addition to the traditional butter. A generous condiment, the salted fish has a rich taste and together with a bit of butter on the toast it is a wonderful treat. I cannot stop eating and finishes all the pieces quickly.We decide to have a starter and a salad to begin. The first one is Tartare di Gamberi Rossi ($228). The Puglia red prawn has been minced, with a sweet and soft texture. Sandwiched in between there are some Sorrento lemon and almonds, to give some appetizing acidity. Finally, the chef has put some grated Sardinian bottarga on top, with the salted mullet roes giving a nice umami taste to the dish. A nice starter.The salad is Panzanella ($178), which contains some fresh Roma heirloom tomato with a good balance of sweetness and acidity, together with pickled onion, mint, and croutons. Refreshing and healthy, I like how the small amount of mint has helped to give fragrance while not overpowering the more delicate flavours of the other ingredients, and the large crunchy croutons provided a contrast in texture. Another nice one.Next, we have a pasta, picking Linguine alle Vongole ($198). The linguine has a fantastic bite, al dente as per our request. The Hokkaido Asari clams are fresh and umami in taste, with the sauce full of the seafood flavours. Scattered with some chopped parsley on top, I in particular like the chili added as it helps to stimulate the palate. Delicious.For the main course, we have picked Ma Yau alla Griglia ($328). This local fish is famous for its flavours and the chef has grilled the fillet to a beautiful crispness on the skin, with the flesh remaining moist. The trick shared by the chef is to use a special type of paper to wrap the fish beforehand, totally extracting the moisture from the skin before grilling. It is just wonderful in taste, seasoned spot-on also. Underneath there are some roasted red and yellow bell peppers and Tropea onion that had been cooked with tomato sauce, a great complement in taste and acidity to the fish.The other main course is Amadai ($288). While the taste cannot compare with Ma Yau, the chef has adopted the Japanese cooking technique to pour hot oil on the scales to make it stand, crispy and edible. The sauce is made from saffron broth, adding Sicilian Datterino tomato confit, Sicilian oregano, and parsley oil. Complex and delicious. It is difficult to compare the two, but I would probably vote for Ma Yau among the mains we have on the night.For dessert, my wife has Freshly Churned Gelato ($118), with the vanilla gelato appropriate in sweetness, soft on texture, with a bit of strawberry sauce and some candied cherries on top. Simple but nice. My choice is Cannolo Siciliano ($58), with the famous pastry from Sicily essentially a tube-shaped deep-fried dough, filled with ricotta, chocolate chips, cinnamon, and some candied orange. Another nice dessert overall.Service is good, with the staff friendly and taking the time to introduce the whole menu at the beginning. The chef also comes to our table to check out how we like the food and talk to us. The bill on the night is $2,662, reasonable in price as well. If you want seafood, and if you want Italian, this restaurant is a good one to consider.

We started with the Sliced Wagyu Sirloin with Egg Yolk, which was tender and rich, enhanced by the creamy egg yolk 🍳. The Wagyu Premium Flank was flavourful 🥩, while the Top Blade Muscle offered a fine texture 👍🏻. The Salt Ox-Tongue was a pleasant surprise, with a unique texture and a well-seasoned flavour that stood out! The Japanese Chicken Neck Meat was juicy and satisfying, showcasing the quality of the chicken. Accompanying the meats, we had Rice with Seaweed and Egg Yolk. The rice was a great complement 🍚, with the egg yolk providing a creamy richness 🍳. We also ordered another side dish, which was the Baked Potatoes with Butter 🧈. It was sweet and buttery, which made it a satisfying side dish! To finish off, we enjoyed the Dessert of the Day, which included Chocolate Ice Cream Mochi and Milk Pudding with Almond Flavour 🍮. Overall, our experience at Yakiniku Kakura was satisfying 🥰.

I recall always passing by this restaurant in north point though have never had a chance visiting it. Was tempted to try the baked pork rice on the menu so we had a go. Lunch set— $130 with soup and drinks. It’s pretty pricey in my opinion, given that the quality is not rather outstanding. First up with their soup, I personally find the borscht akin to the typical ones you’d get from a Hongkongese western diner. Nice to find plenty of veggies and even a bit of beef brisket in the soup, plus it tasted somewhat spicy (I found some chopped chilli too). However, the complimentary buns (butter buns) were quite stiff for chewing. It would be better to dip the buns into the soup I guess. The curry with rice was of typical quality similar to what you’d get from fast food restaurants. For the baked pork rice, the taste was not as great as I had anticipated. Apparently, the rice was not fried (but somehow they did mix it with eggs to make it look as if it was fried hahah). The pork was rather bland too, relying on the sauce (kinda ample) to give its flavours. It was a colourful dish with little chunks of veggies (e.g onions, carrots, celery) but not worthy of $130 in my opinion.
