To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今早11時親友约了我们到逸東酒店地库的逸東軒品茗,這不是我們第一次去,但今早覺得来這裡吃飯好受氣。我和部份親友10:58 來到逸東軒,因開車來,從車場乘升降机到B2,被侍應指去餐厅入口的小等候區排隊找桌號,我們是预先訂了座的,當時等候區迫满了人,空氣好不流通;我们知到桌號後從開了的一扇門進入大廳,因為常來,也知道我們桌子位置,未坐下已彼一位女侍應阻攔,要我們回去那狹小的等候區,我看手机已過了開門時間11時,是侍應未準時開門。如果等侯區有足夠空位,我不介意過時未開門在那裡等,但那等侯區實在太小又太多人,我們又有好多長者,那侍應的態度實在過份。就座之后外子說下次即使有人請客叫去逸東轩,也不會再去。我們常去酒店及高级餐厅從未受過侍應這麽不合理的對待。香港饮食業常說生意差,不合格的服務態度好影响顧客再光顧的意欲,我甚少去內地消费,也支持留港消费,但一定會嚴選食品好吃,環境舒服而服務上佳的食肆去消费,觉得多付一點也值得。因為沒想過再去逸東酐,所以一张照片也设拍下,不根替這食肆作宣傳。
