To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 一直知道逸東軒點心出名抵食,又係米芝連一星米芝連,襯佢個想點。就點既優惠仲係度,就過利食。逸東小籠包 ($48)合格正常,皮唔厚,但肉汁略嫌有點少,有匙羹兜住,細心位Xo醬炒蘿蔔糕 ($48)Xo醬好少,,粉有啲厚,唔好食帶子蒸燒賣 ($38)帶子有厚度,豬肉同蝦比例恰好酥皮叉燒焗餐包 ($38)有啲失望,微暖,少餡料,唔算脆,似墨西哥皮多啲蒜蓉鮮蝦春卷($38)新鮮脆口,幾好食,份量都多芝士焗釀蟹蓋 (2位,$360)蟹蓋要2位起,比起另外2間姊妹酒店中菜廳,唐閣同明閣,細隻好多,當然而度都平啲,磨菇配合洋蔥,有啲過濕,食唔到蟹肉既一絲絲,跟左黑醋,會冇咁油膩
