To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今天是中秋節正日,我們訂了銅鑼灣廣場裏的潮江春吃晚飯。餐廳不寬躺,坐在七人桌也有點擠迫。不過環境非常衛生,沒有任何污漬。食物方面:先來了一個拼盤,裏面有滷水豆腐配鵝片、炸蝦丸、海蜇及蘆筍炒帶子。最特別的還是拼盤中央有一個裝置,像一個走馬燈,播放着音樂(雖然環境太嘈吵,不是很聽得到),很有心思。再來是杏汁豬肺湯,杏仁味十分濃,豬肺入味。可惜有一點兒冷,令我們有些失望……接着我們吃的是蠔烙,雞蛋色澤金黃,非常漂亮。蠔的口感軟諗,香味十足。第四道菜是蘿蔔糕蝦煲,蝦肉彈牙,有海鮮味。下面有些蘿蔔糕墊着蝦肉,完全吸收醬汁的精華,十分入味。(只是太軟,沒有口感)然後我們吃了芥蘭炒牛肉,牛肉很軟,吸收蠔油味道。芥蘭色澤翠綠,香甜爽口,沒半分過硬。接下來是一碗腐竹白果浸菜心,腐竹的豆味濃,口感軟滑。白果甜中帶苦,完美地帶出湯的鮮味。菜芯清甜美味,口感爽脆。下一道菜是瑤柱蛋白炒飯,蛋白和瑤柱炒得均勻,味道香濃。炒飯中還有菜粒,增加口感。白飯粒粒分明,整體味道不錯。最後一道菜是蒜香炸子雞,整體烤得挺好,外皮又薄又脆,雞肉很結實。配搭乾蒜一起吃,味道更香。員工的服務質素也很好,會跟我們談天。這次晚餐的食物讓
