To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 同老友去左間走高檔粵式菜餚路線的傳統酒家食晚飯. 酒家設計和裝修風格豪華, 配以大型燈飾, 好有氣派. 首先來個北京填鴨, 上枱時都好有排場, 上層是切得薄薄的鴨皮連鴨肉, 一片片排成圓形, 好有心機. 下層是伴菜和伴醬, 分別有傳統京醬、黃梅醬、青瓜條、京蔥條和砂糖. 未食已經被賣相吸引. 鴨皮切得夠薄身香脆鬆化, 鴨肉肉質嫩滑, 難得油份適中無肥膏, 食完唔會有油膩飽滯感覺. 餅皮厚薄適中略帶煙韌, 唯略嫌唔夠熱, 配以醬料及再加入爽脆青瓜條及京蔥條,簡直令人吃不停口。跟住加個發財好市賀新年, 豆苗香口, 冬菇和蠔豉都炆得好焾好入味, 開心有髮菜食, 唯豆粉似乎太多, 醬汁有點混濁. 朋友慶之所至叫左兩個壽飽同我提早慶生, 咁我都贈慶叫左碗蛋白杏仁茶.我鐘意佢唔太甜, 伴以一絲絲的蛋白, 口感不錯. 另朋友叫左芒果布甸, 佢就話味道一般, 芒果味唔太出.整體上食物水準是配合高檔路線的, 而且空間感強, 令人坐得舒服. 題外話, 食完第一道菜北京填鴨, 足足等了超過一個鐘才食到發財好市, 慶幸我同老友都唔趕時間可以傾住等, 自問係心急人的食客就要有一定的心理準備啦
