To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 我們12人去吃 晚飯,不知道哪里去了,所以才选 陶源酒家,因靠近海边,在湾仔旁边,晚飯后可去看10/1烟花。 給我們寫了一個菜單。有龍蝦,炒螺片, 售價為3600,沒有魚翅或其他特别贵的东西, 都是鸡,素菜 。有老有小,不想再转其他酒楼。 取消了龍蝦,改为炒菜心, 就變成2960。最后,大失望 : 1)很长很长的名字,有鱼和翅2个字,最后是一个蘸粉焖的大鱼鳍,而魚沒有味道,顯然是放在冰箱已久,肉質是死实的。2)炒海螺片, 也是很多漿粉, 难吃;3)炸子雞, 皮是不脆的, 里面是半熟的,有多于1/3的雞骨还是有血的。4)此外,他們很热心的推销汽水, 餐前小吃。6:45, 没有一个客人, 7:30, 才有20%满,你可猜陶源酒家的受欢迎程度。 最后,我們需要支付3700 (包括4老3小),我想就算这顿饭是免费的, 我也不要来,浪费我的时间。
