To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 街坊酒樓,食物唔算貴,味道自然正正常常,不過得以嘅係我覺得好食嘅餸,同行朋友覺得唔好食,我覺得麻麻地嘅,同行又覺得好食。清蒸大閘蟹($68隻)又到大閘蟹季節,見到酒樓有賣,今年又未食過就試下。約3兩細蟹,三個人食叫了3隻,黎得兩份食蟹工具和醋,要叫侍應拎多把剪刀。滿心期待,可惜我的蟹膏唔算多,唔香,而且有少少苦,有啲失望。不過同行就話佢嗰隻蟹唔錯。杏汁燉白肺份量多,雖然寫4人份量,但應該有超過8小碗。我覺得幾好飲,不過同行朋友話豬肺麻麻。蜜椒脆鱔球調味調得幾好,炸得都好香脆,就係鱔唔夠。肥美,同行友人話有啲腥。紅燒花膠豆腐食完頭三樣唔夠飽,原本想叫特價龍蝦配伊麵,但侍應話大閘蟹已經特價咗冇得再叫,咁唯有叫第二樣紅燒花膠豆腐。豆腐份量足,相比之下花膠就自然顯得少和細舊,不過味道我幾鍾意。橎桃大壽包冇人生日,不過就係想食。壽包幾大個,蓮蓉都多,入面仲有半隻細咸蛋黃。朋行友人話咸蛋黃小,唔太好咸蛋黃嘅我就覺得啱啱好。
