To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 位於沙田石門京瑞廣場二期2樓的富臨皇宮,晚飯小菜價錢頗抵食,酒樓位置寛闊,即時walk in也不用等,吸引不少附近居民在週末晚上一家人吃頓飯。除了有即製小菜,還有不少海鮮的選擇,豐儉由人。首先來到的是堂剪原隻BB豬半隻。店員即時在上桌時把BB豬剪成一件件,場面頗壯觀。略嫌BB豬剪得有少許太大件,如有需要可以叫店員再剪細件少許。BB豬的皮烤得熱辣辣脆卜卜,點少許甜醬和砂糖更美味。肉的部分不算多,但也夠嫩滑。半隻小豬約有12件燒肉,四至五個人吃也夠吃。之後來到的花膠北菇鵝掌煲,冬菇煮得很夠軟,而且很大粒。鵝掌也煮得夠軟夠離骨,蠔油味香濃,花膠的份量也夠慷慨。接著來到的為香薯一口牛,香薯炒得表面微脆,黑椒汁十分香濃,配搭著一口一件,被豐富醬汁包裹著的牛柳粒,送飯一流。父親特別喜愛這道豉汁蒸大鱔,大廚蒸大鱔的時間控制得非常好,不會煮得太過火變老,也不會未夠熟。鱔的肉質頗彈牙,夠新鮮。用豉汁蒸最能帶出鱔本身的鮮味,也是一道送飯良品。吃小菜當然不少得喝一碗燉湯。今次點了金銀菜燉白肺湯,侍應會把湯渣撈起,放在碟上。湯的材料包括白菜乾、豬肺、雞等,味道鮮美。最後再點了半打生煎菜肉包,菜肉包底面也煎得脆
