1982老字號「陳根記」在沙田禾輋邨冬菇亭紮根30多年,是廣為人知的港式大排檔,陪著不少沙田街坊成長。由於生意愈做愈旺,由早年的一個爐頭十數枱,開到十二爐九十枱。自從1997年隔壁的店鋪離開,陳根記就橫跨兩個大檔口,夜夜爆滿。全場可坐幾百人,每到六點即可入座,過七點就要等位。因為不獲領展續約,2018年搬到石門重開,繼續服務一眾街坊。新店地方企理,裝修盡量跟足大排檔的設計,設大圓枱,菜式不變,雖然加了價,但價錢始終跑贏大市,這裡的菜色相當豐富,更增設了午市。人氣菜式有Wasabi手撕雞、蠔餅、胡椒中蝦、燒乳鴿等。為趕上時代步伐,現已使用QR code自行落單。至於店家多款人氣甜品仍有供應,但食客必須自行到商場內的另一個舖面購買。聽聞「陳根記」2023年7月已正式進軍澳洲悉尼成為跨國企業啦!文章及更多圖片 https://sunny1948.blogspot.com/2024/05/blog-post_19.html
