Crunchy banh mi bread with so much flavours from the fillings, I’m in love with the grilled pork slices and crunchy pickles. The jalapeño and spicy mayo added some heat and extra depth to the flavours, and you can enjoy vegetarian version of the flavourful dish as well.
Rice papers got a bit spongy and mochi-like after soaking into water, and it is a very nice choice for wrapping all the fillings in. The fillings are in great portions - fresh shrimp and loads of veggies, basil and I love that tiny bit of mint leaves which gives extra freshness! Very complex flavours with so much texture in every single bite, while everything are so refreshing and appetising.
Hong Kong’s stuffy weather could be quite sickening - we sometimes do lose appetites for such days. I love having a bowl of bûn salad for such days, with the appetising salad dressing! The rice noodles help giving me some energy and I love that great amount of veggies for detox. The assorted version of their salad contains fried spring rolls, curry fish and chicken pieces, or vegetarian style is also available.
