To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

早前和朋友打算去油麻地試一試新餐廳，見菜式新穎，飲品又有心思。對餐廳嘅感覺初頭覺得良好，可惜空手而回。當日餐廳營業時間含糊不清，令人完全無所適從。 本來亦打算買幾個蛋撻食完飯之後返去做甜品，點知最後連所有蛋撻都冇晒。一間成熟嘅餐廳應該係可以有更加好嘅經營手法。成件事最令我同我朋友覺得難受嘅係，職員當時說需要等多半小時才開門，過了半小時後，餐廳竟直接閂門了。如果一早同人講清楚，可以唔使浪費大家嘅時間。
