To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 意外好食的午餐今日去西環海濱花園前,醫飽個肚先,太肚餓啦,就順路系個商場搵。本來真系吾會考慮太興,因為而家佢出名燒味吾好食,但行過附近幾間,大部分座位間無隔版,裝修又吾得,系哩度幾好,就坐低啦!侍應跟手比兩隻杯,講得好清楚電子落單同搵佢落都okay。起身走又會講多謝,吾錯。哩間其實都好多年,但都保持得幾乾淨光猛,可能系裝修完。午餐選擇多,有蒸野,炒粉,燒味,臘味等,講抵食支竹豆腐火腩飯($60)4分- 睇落系估吾到咁靚仔同幾大份,吾似整定“筆”出來- 支竹吾會爛曬,有咬口- 豆腐就覺得硬小小,無乜豆腐味- 火腩都幾多 - 吾會好似比D”獻”沈住,吾會死鹹。大澳蝦乾蒸肉餅($60)4分- 都幾多蝦乾,都幾好味- 豬肉餅份量系薄小小,肥瘦適中,吾硬吾實,應該系即蒸白飯都系茶餐廳中上質數。鹹檸檬水(2分)- 有差不多半個檸檬- 一D都吾鹹,或者可以話無乜鹹味,又無乜檸檬味。
