To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 依家每日都唔方便出街食飯㗎啦,朋友話俾我知,原來富臨依家可以叫外賣,而且仲有折,十分之抵,我出發之前就已經打個電話去叫定外賣,過到去已經炒好晒,一攞就解決晒,影真方便啊,價錢又實惠,機會真係唔係時時有。菠蘿咕嚕肉,淨係睇個顏色,已經十分之吸引,最重要嘅係份量10分之多,淨係攞返嚟嘅時候都覺得十分之聚首。酸酸甜甜分外開胃,而且唔會好多肥肉,菠蘿食落口份外覺得開胃。西蘭花蝦球炒蚌片,酒樓嘅水準,果然同茶餐廳嘅唔同,酒樓炒出嚟嘅菜十分之有鑊氣,大蝦去晒蝦腸,食落口爽口又彈牙,蚌片完全唔會有雪藏嘅味道,配上西蘭花,而且仲會有少少蝦醬嘅香氣,果然係大廚房嘅水準啦。楊州炒飯,呢一個飯真係唔係個個都炒得好食,但係呢個師傅,吵得超級有鑊氣,飯粒粒粒分明,而且唔會太鹹,又唔會太油,果然係健康之選呀,而且用了10分豐富,最重要嘅係份量十分之多,兩個人真係完全食唔晒,咁嘅價錢,真係好過去普通嘅茶餐廳。
