Restaurant: Fat Belly Butcher & Gin House

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 城中扒房,自問去得不少,尖沙咀、中環、銅鑼灣,好食的扒房選擇很多,今天到大埔一趟,竟然有意外驚喜。食牛扒最緊要的是肉的新鮮程度及質素,這裏的牛扒放在透明的櫃中,由客人自己選擇,新唔新鮮,一望就知。由於這裏的選擇很多,我和幾位朋友,一人點了一塊不同的扒。點了Dry aged咗21日肉味濃啲嘅Hanger Steak,一支骨的Prime Rib,非常之嫩口嘅Veal Chop,同埋大T骨Porter House。其中一位朋友不吃牛,便點了罕有而肉味香濃的蘇格蘭羊西冷。配菜方面,經理推介牛肉飯,心想扒房食飯有啲怪,但經理話要一試,飯中滲入淡淡牛油香,似海南雞飯嘅牛肉版,值得一試。另外也點了西瓜BB沙律, 十分新鮮和特別,$78真係好抵食。這裏的選擇及質素勝於幾間香港數一數二的扒房,Rxxh’s Chxxs, Mxxtxx’s, Laxxy’s等,我估這幾間出名的扒房很多支出都用於租金,結果牛扒的質素不及以前。而這間在大埔的小店,租金可能比較平,所以願意花成本選擇較高質素的牛扒,這個價錢食到這樣高質的牛扒,好抵食,性價比高。另外不得不提的,這裏的Cocktail好好飲,好創新,我點了一杯用菊花

餐廳裝修走型格工業風,服務殷勤專業(經理對牛扒的描述十分仔細,好似Wiki咁)。雖然Full House,但服務勤快貼心,是一間十分值得推介的高質扒房。

後記:埋單時發覺張單有啲唔妥(俾我哋想像中平),原來這間扒房冇收加一,咁好嘅服務仲要唔收加一,我當然好識做俾多啲貼士啦。
