To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 平日吃的大多數是廣東菜,今午轉轉口味,和朋友來到銅鑼灣的豫園吃上海菜。此店開業大約一年,已是米芝蓮推介其中一間餐廳,店鋪位於 V Point 26 樓,盡享地理。簇新有品味的裝修,令人眼前為之一亮。我們點多款前菜,包括醉雞、鎮江肴肉和小籠包。醉雞嫩滑,清香的紹興酒味滲透入雞肉,味道相當不錯。鎮江肴肉晶螢通透,香味濃郁,這道菜的製作過程頗為繁複,是江蘇鎮江傳統名菜。小籠包皮薄餡靚,用筷子挾起時,肉汁沒有滲漏出來,顯示師傅廚藝的功架。肉絲雙面黃看似平凡,但要做得好是絕不簡單,兩面黃做法蠻考究的,今次的麵做到外脆內軟,吃的時候加入肉絲冬菇醬汁,吃後令人回味無窮。最後出場的鮑魚拌麵賣相討好,鮑魚炆得十分腍滑,拌麵吸了鮑魚的鮮味,令人一試難忘。
