To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 未開始評審食物前,剩係服務水準已經嚇死人。由打電話訂開始,已經覺得呢間酒家不知所謂。就算食物有幾好味,都唔會有再幫親既念頭。講返聽電話既姐姐,一起個電話講完一句喂之後,就咁叫人等等,等佢聽第二個電話先。如是者有五、六次都係咁。佢咁樣叫聽電話咩,叫hold 電話咋。仲有,十問九唔知。想話lunch book 間房一班人食餐晏,都明知有最低消費,平時大約二千蚊度。點知一個話二千,另一個話四千,第三個又話四千幾。搞錯呀?突然比平時多成倍,佢話係,因為剩下一間房。咁唔老實,咁都有坐地起價。到食物方面,菜只是一般,都唔知有咩特別,同其他酒家分別不大。
