To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 與親戚相約晚飯,選了於銅鑼灣V-Point的這中餐廳,原來是位於廿多樓,所以景觀也不錯。由於長輩在場,所以也由他們發辦,小弟只有乖乖品嚐。點了好幾款前菜小食,無錫脆鱔炸得夠脆口,醬汁亦夠濃,正合重口味的我的心意,每件大小也適中。舟山海蜇頭則很爽彈,醃汁的酸甜平衡,開胃之餘亦夠嚼口。紹興醉雞便可吃得出心機,雞煮得滑溜不韌,酒香也很夠勁度,嗜酒的我比較喜歡。若說醉雞是剛烈的選擇,糟香醉豬手便是較平易近人的溫柔小點。軟腍入味的豬手伴著絲絲酒香,十分誘人。南翔小籠包夠燙口,包住的湯汁也很濃郁,餡料的豬肉也很厚實。由於有位親友想吃食,便點了龍鬚鮮魚絲,一嚐之下甚是驚喜。切成幼絲的魚肉做得鮮嫩,配上芽菜的口感,如果有白飯相伴便好了。砂鍋鹹肉炒飯的飯炒得不錯,肉粒的鹹香也平均分佈飯粒之中,夠惹味亦不會過重。這晚正好可以吃下中菜,又與親友相聚寒暄一番,開心又溫暖。
