To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 星期六起床後和老公到家附近的旺記冰室吃午餐。我們在午餐中選了兩個不同的餐吃。招牌滑蛋叉燒飯叫了走蔥,叉燒均勻地鋪在滑蛋上,滑蛋很滑,叉燒選用瘦叉燒,配以秘製甜豉油,飽肚又好吃,果然是招牌。鮮忌廉雞湯鮑魚火腿絲通粉通粉是有紋的,湯底不錯。本來是配配牛油多士和4.3牛奶炒日本滑蛋,但加了$5要奶油大脆豬。奶油大脆豬有兩個,非常大個,每個都塗滿牛油和煉奶,脆豬很鬆軟又帶點脆度,挺好吃的,而滑蛋當然也是滑滑的。餐飲叫了凍檸茶和凍奶茶。
