To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 冇去富臨酒家食晚飯已經一段時間, 今晚約了阿媽到荔枝角貿易廣場這間富臨酒家, 今次d食物味道比之前好食了, 加上有啲特價菜式可挑選,又食得過。這間富臨面積相當大, 所以檯燈之間係非常濶落, 在酒樓食晚飯最重要除了食物好食外,坐得舒服也是一個重要嘅元素。餐牌是圖文並茂的, 特價精選小菜都有18款可選, 價錢有平有貴,最貴才是HK$138元, 我們就揀了三款 ,別點了一個燉湯, 豐富極了。先嚟燉湯--金銀菜燉白肺, 材料豐富,尤其是豬肺, 豬肺切開一舊舊, 好在size適中, 不太大嚿,點豉油食特別美味, 燉湯中的大白菜和菜乾, 令燉湯很有菜味, 飲落特別潤喉。 大澳香蝦骨, 肥膏不多, 但蝦膏令肉骨特別惹味, 佐飯一流。鐵板黑椒豬手, 黑椒味濃, 加上豬手炆得特別軟身, 令我不其然連豬手皮一齊食,好味道極了。食埋豬手皮,?就不介意咁多了。泰皇蝦球炒通菜,蝦球雖然比較細隻, 但通菜炒得夠曬鑊氣,味道香濃, 連汁與飯一齊食, 不知不覺間食多兩碗。最後點了一嚇生煎菜肉包, 滿滿嘅芝麻和蔥花, 加上菜肉包面層煎得香脆,熱辣辣食,好正。
