本想光顧綠楊坊內另一家上海菜館,找不着遇上這家南翔饅頭店。曾到訪過上海城隍廟總店,名物「南翔小籠」平心而論只是以大取勝,哄哄遊客而已吧!對它並無期望,但一試無妨。比起一般連鎖上海菜館,這兒的裝潢較為古色古香,主打滬京川菜式,價格不貴。 溏心燻蛋($32/2隻)用的是蛋香較濃的鴨蛋,淺黃色的蛋黃呈半凝狀態,蛋香不俗,但更為突出的是那煙燻香氣,濃得甚至有點蓋過了蛋香,滷汁未能滲進蛋白當中,滷香稍欠。 南翔鮮肉小籠包($40/4隻)該是店方點題之作,卻令人失望,形態做得對辦,透薄的外皮窩着不少湯汁,那口湯汁清鮮得很,用的卻不是新鮮豬肉,肉質死實且欠缺肉香。皮薄餡唔靚,失敗!京燒羊腩($98)作為推介菜色,同樣是水準有落差的一道。以五香粉醃過尚算入味,但羊腩燒得不夠香口,外皮帶靱,肉身粗嚡,蘸吃的腐乳醬太稠身,以之蘸肉作用不大。 苔條黃魚(半價$68)每桌都點的特價菜式,件數不少。炸得酥脆香口,但魚肉帶微微腥氣,食味一般而已。  醃篤鮮($78)以咸肉、鮮肉、春筝熬煮的上海湯羹。配料豐足,奶白色的湯汁咸鮮之餘有肉香,算不錯了。雖然是曾獲米芝蓮推介的百年老店,但出品細緻度不足,食味亦未見出眾,試
