To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 又來到逸東軒飲茶(應該是第幾十次了)。逸東軒的叉燒做得出色,這次也是叫了叉燒系列的點心:芝麻叉燒酥和叉燒腸粉,另外還點了雲耳拍青瓜。落單時,特地跟侍應說叉燒酥要熱的;只因好幾次點同一道點心,叉燒酥都是早已焗好(可能是上一輪茶市的?),上枱時只是微暖而不夠熱,食味大打折扣。這次落單不久,叉燒酥比涼菜的雲耳拍青瓜還要早上枱,已經心感不妙。一摸之下,只有碟子是熱的,碟上的叉燒酥比碟本身更涼,只帶微溫。跟侍應反映後,侍應很有禮的替換了一份叉燒酥,可惜再次上枱的同樣是碟子熱、點心暖。另外較可惜的是,酥皮較厚的底部還沒有起酥,入口會黏成一團,應該是焗的火喉還不夠。其實好幾次點這個點心都有同樣的情況,不過還是會點它,只因當逸東的叉燒酥偶爾火喉足、熱騰騰上枱的時候,芝麻烘烤過的香氣、酥皮的油潤和酥脆、加上調味恰好的洋蔥叉燒餡真是令人感動的美味,所以每次都想碰碰運氣。不過除了這份遺憾,叉燒腸粉的質素絕佳,餐廳的環境和服務都優質,在逸東飲茶還是很棒的體驗,只是下次要三思會不會再給叉燒酥一個機會了。
