To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 就算住在附近,也絕少來到太興新世代,今次來,是吃個下午茶.下午茶一樣要燒味套餐,但要成差不多四十幾銀,才有個雙拼餐,我還是看燒味以外,有沒有更好的選擇?見到有一味"頂級午餐肉蛋公仔麵",連埋凍飲只是$29.我的想法同下面的食家一樣:{餐蛋麵可以有幾好食?}餐肉始終都是餐肉,最多是牌子的分別.煎蛋就算用靚蛋,好多人也未必吃得出.麵底極其量是出前一丁,三樣加埋一起出來的方程式,基本上人人都計到出來.試問,點先至令到本來平平無奇的餐蛋麵,變成與眾不同呢?蛋,也是那者太陽蛋,麵,也是用出前一丁,湯底,還是跟丁麵的那一包湯粉,菜,只是一條菜心,但是用的午餐肉,又的確有點不同.餐肉之外,更混合了一些瘦肉,火腿肉在內.食落多了一份咸香,即刻不平凡起來.當然,頂級午餐肉這個名稱,又有點過份其詞,實在無須大驚小怪.早前曾經說過太興的冰鎮奶茶不好喝,一味得個甜,同那些年青人時下最愛的台式奶茶,一樣地甜.今次隨餐奉送,不過要加$3.相隔多時再喝,依然死甜,茶味很輕,奶味差不多完全蓋過.與灣仔金鳳一樣,大家也是沒加冰的凍奶茶,相比之下,始乎金鳳的"電油筒奶茶",比太興勝出不知幾多個馬位.
