I absolutely adore their weekday lunch buffet, for $138+10% you get to select from an array of appetisers, snacks, curries, have fruit and dessert AND order unlimited made-to-order dosas, naan and roti -- what more can you ask for! I try to get there as early as possible because their medu vada at precisely around noon is super cruchy with fluffy, light as air batter inside yummmm, the offering changes daily but you would definitely find a combination of tandori vegetable or paneer, along with 4-5 types of thicker and thinner curries along with basmati rice, everything to pack you with enough macronutirents like protein and fibre and carb, and extremely delicious.
But my favourite part is the made-to-order dosa --- if you are as crazy about freshly made crunchy dosa as me, Woodlands will not disappoint. The portions are smaller so you never have to worry about it getting soft and soggy from just sitting there or from the masala in the centre, and it's just so good *chef's kiss*. Their naan is another one of my favourite, charred just right from the oven, it tastes amazing even without any curry, the longer you chew, the sweeter and more delicious it becomes.
The staff are also all incredibly friendly and attentive, always have a smile on their face, and one of them even speaks Cantonese!
Finish off the meal with a delicious masala chai served in their beauitful golden steel cups and a handful of mukhwas by the door. A great experience every time and one that I always recommend to my colleagues
