To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 每幾年一度的村長選舉圓滿結束後,鄉事會都會 大排筳席,請我們一眾鄉親 Happy 一下。去年,就在沙田石門的《富臨皇宮》包場設宴。且看看這《富臨皇宮》的席宴水準好不好。首先來的,當然是鴻運乳豬全體。不過,廚房師傅太早準備了,也沒有用方法保持熱度。所以,上到來的乳豬其實是凍的。而且,豬皮已經開始不脆,味道同肉質雖是好,但皮就失色了。法式焗大蝦球伊麵,是一個香味十足的美少食品。伊麵吸收了濃濃的忌廉汁,早已經是好味道。再加上大蝦的鮮味道,更加令人食指大動。碧綠炒彩鳳蚌片,是一個帶淤鮮味道而多菜少肉的的美食。西蘭芯爽口,雞肉絲同蚌片帶出了令人歡喜的鮮味道,不錯。金磚百花球,金磚,是炸鮮奶,百花球就是炸蝦球。雖然,沒有炸蟹鉗來得香口,但炸蝦球在味道上同口感上都好高分。而炸鮮奶絕對是炸得妙,可以給個讚。竹笙海皇燴燕窩,味道不過不失,羹入口的質感也不錯。而最滿意的,是燕窩可以保持到爽口。清蒸大海斑,厚肉的石班魚再加上甜豉油,基本上是沒有不好食的空間。蠔皇翡翠扣金錢,用蠔油來炆冬菇,永遠都是濃上右濃的。是日的菇夠厚身多肉,口感十分之好。最後來的,就是脆皮炸子雞了。冰鮮雞的雞肉,質素大家都知道。但這兒弄
