To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今日雖然打風,天氣都唔算好差,政府出咗消費券梗係要出去振興經濟。位於沙田石門《富臨皇宮》晚飯小菜確實抵食,晚市孖寶、龍躉三寶...... 多款選擇,最近再度推出有阿拉斯加大蟹。店內環境非常闊落,樓底高,面積廣,筵開數十圍都唔係問題。杏汁白肺湯~豬肺好多功夫,杏汁好香,豬肺好好食,呢個湯夠四至六人飲。金陵片皮鴨(半隻)~半隻嘅份量都唔少,片起都幾多塊,鴨肉質地厚實,皮都夠脆,當然唔少得京蔥及青瓜絲,仲有有甜酸汁及甜醬。晚飯堂食孖寶(龍蝦配脆皮童子雞) ~西澳洲龍蝦~上湯跟伊麵底,原隻龍蝦啖啖肉,爽口彈牙,大家食到唔停口。脆皮童子雞~即叫即做熱辣辣,皮脆肉香,正啊!
