To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今日到長沙灣貿易廣場開會,約好同事工作完就在貿易廣場食晚飯,原來仲有泊車優惠添,滿300有2小時,今日有揸車啱曬。睇睇餐牌,見到這個晚飯震撼推介2選1,可選蠔皇八頭鮑魚扣金錢(每位上限一份26.8/份)或頭抽走地雞$28/隻(2至5位1隻,6位以上2隻)我地揀左鮑魚,鮑魚唔算大,口感亦不算韌,味道都可以,還拌有東菇和西蘭花。金銀菜燉白肺 $128點了個白肺湯試試,沒有想象中咁好飲,略為有點失色。生煎菜肉包 (6隻) $38外表金黃底部香脆,包質感鬆軟,味道香濃,酒樓比較少有的菜色。鮮菠蘿咕嚕肉 $78份量都幾足,粉薄肉厚,咬落外脆內軟,開胃惹味。豉汁蒸白鱔 $108鱔每件都好粗身,入口爽韌有口感,豉汁調味剛剛好唔咸又入味。水東芥菜炒腩片 $78叫左個蔬菜平衡下,芥菜新鮮翠綠,配上腩片的咸香,幾好。太公分豬肉,不定期會送給食客。今日巧遇酒樓做太公分豬肉,情境都幾搞笑,店員會同乳豬繞場一周,再分給每枱食客,我們也分到一碟,乳豬還是暖暖的,肉質腍軟汁潤,肉味香濃。
