To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 走過路過千萬唔好錯過👀!今日行到腳攰,見到一間太興茶餐廳,心諗歇下腳,嘆個茶嚟滿足下肚餓。「咸魚雞粒炒飯」嚟咗,睇落係相當普通,但一炒尚好,鑊氣夠晒喉,雞粒幾嫩滑,咸魚味道剛剛好,揸筷子就唔由自主咁一口又一口,吓吓要飲口茶解解鹹。提杯「熱咖啡」,嘩,香濃得滯,輕輕一啜,暖笠笠嘅,幾好,比啲星巴克檔嘅咖啡強多啦!😌冷風吹,盆菜心水開,就揀太興試吓有咩驚喜。擺上枱嘅「冬至盆菜」,睇落賣相正!鮑魚、蝦全部閃閃發光,豬手炆到腍,入口即化,好過連劇都唔好睇😂;墨魚丸跳嚟跳去,彈牙得黎爽口非常,西蘭花綠油油,口感脆生生,簡直係完美地平衡咗呢碟重口味大餐。不得不讚一下,盆菜底嘅蘿蔔,吸滿咗精華,吃落口中滿是幸福感。🍲最後,朝早叫嗮桌友去太興搞個早餐會。來個「炒滑蛋加泰式扎肉肉碎米粉」,嘩,蛋真係軟滑得黎唔流油,扎肉肉碎仲要略帶香辣,同嗰面香意瀰漫,一試難忘。佢地話食早餐要輕鬆,但我食呢盤要大讚,真係正中紅心!🎯總之今次嘅食評完啦,下次想再嚟試下佢地嘅「腿通粉」同埋「沙嗲牛肉麵」呀,每次去太興都有新驚喜等緊我!
