To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 26.2.2012難得大家星期日的下午可以聚一聚吃個午飯, 於是好姊妹就提議去這一間在大埔少有的韓式餐廳. 這裡地方細細, 幸好在下午差不多一時半的時候不用等位.先來一杯茶和前菜. 茶的味道似是麥茶, 夠熱, 不錯. 前菜有泡菜和芽菜. 泡菜辣度足夠, 吃完很精神, 不過我不可以吃太多, 可惜可惜. 然後大家看看餐牌, 由於我要戒海鮮, 所以大家決定各自叫一個主食, 然後再叫一個韓式紫菜卷來share. 我的主食是附送海帶湯的. 湯夠熱, 一片片海帶飄浮在湯中, 份量都多. 海帶本身沒有什麼味的, 不過夠爽!!我所叫的主食是韓式粉絲炒飯, 咦, 竟然用鐵版上, 所以還是熱辣辣的. 韓式粉絲比我們平時吃的粉絲粗. 而且口感煙韌, 亦不是太碎, 容易夾起. 牛肉碎, 紅蘿蔔絲及菜的份量也恰當. 白飯是鋪在底部的, 但由於各種食材都帶有黑椒的辣味, 所以令到白飯的味道也帶點辣, 變得惹味起來. 韓式紫菜卷好似日本的壽司的. 一碟有八件, 而且每件也很大件, 好抵食.每件的飯不是太多, 反而是餡多: 有蛋條, 青瓜, 黃瓜, 蟹柳等等. 青瓜, 黃瓜和飯都有壽司醋味, 酸酸甜甜, 令人開胃.
