To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 我落單是叫餸食 1. 梅菜扣肉 2. 油雞 拼 叉燒 3. 加大油菜,奶茶1杯。梅菜扣肉 已經是最正常,口味同份量,就只是唔夠熱,無咁吸引。雙拼燒味無論份量同口味都強差人意,雞的份量 只有6、7件,而叉燒未夾起就知道唔方好食,色澤灰黑色,又柴又乾,乜太興唔係出名燒味嘅咩,點解…?還有最差一樣係:薑蓉竟然放埋雞同叉燒一齊攪到又油又咸,真是衰過街邊檔口燒味買外賣,還有份量又唔係咁多俾個紙盒咁大個,送到來東歪西倒!叉燒仲要將肥及瘦的位置斬開,做食的時候一係得瘦到柴皮,一係食肥豬肉!加大的油菜不足10條,所謂熱奶茶,是微暖。
