To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 31/3到東港城太興食飯食著"蚊",以下內容係我當晚凌晨send比佢地客戶服務部既e-mail,但到呢刻我都未收到佢地feed back.太興客戶服務部: 本人於3月31日晚上光顧將軍澳東港城的太興,點了一客朧利魚意粉,吃了不久後發現意粉裡有蚊子,再仔細看看,已找出3隻。 叫來侍應看看,他說給我更換;我擔心廚房的意粉滿是蚊子,於是改了配薯菜。等了十多分鐘的朧利魚薯菜又吃了少許,竟然又發現西蘭花旁有隻蚊子,再仔細看看,西蘭花上亦有蚊子。 再叫來侍應,她又是說給我更換,我已不知道應該換上什麼才沒有蚊子,我想應該找食環署;但時間太晚要讓女兒歸家,唯有清楚檢查朧利魚有否蚊子,吃罷便結帳離去。 花了錢及時間吃了這晚餐,還不知自己有否吃下蚊子,我實在很不滿,本人想以此電郵作出投訴,希望負責人徹查事件並給我一個交待。 黃先生

太興客戶服務部:

叫來侍應看看,他說給我更換;我擔心廚房的意粉滿是蚊子,於是改了配薯菜。
