To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今天來了旺角MOKO的翠園,星期一也坐無座無虛席。我們一行四人事先訂位,獲安排入座後點了以下菜式:燒鵝拼油鷄:雖然味道不錯,但這個燒味雙拼的份量確實少家,不夠大體,只有一隻鷄脾和幾塊燒鵝,於在兩個小圓碟。生拆魚蓉羮:這個味道也不錯,有生拆的魚蓉,也有很多助料(黑木耳絲、甘荀絲、芹菜絲等),帶有胡椒味,濃度適中,不太稀也不太濃。貴妃脆蝦球:這個配有芒果汁和腰果的脆蝦球,味道挺特別,但不能多吃,最多兩件已很足夠。鷄樅菌油雙椒炒班球:這個也不錯,魚夠嫰滑又夠味,鷄樅菌油很多,加上爽口的紅椒黃椒,味道清新中又帶點鷄樅菌油的香味,好吃!荷葉飯:份量足夠,荷葉味香,但饀料不太多。總體而言又是滿足的一餐。
