To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 尋日係我堂家姐嘅婚禮,佢哋就喺灣仔呢間陶源酒家擺宴。聽講呢間係鮑魚專門店,一於期待一下先。晚宴around 8點鍾開始,第一道菜毫無疑問係燒乳豬,外皮夠脆唔錯!之後係如意百合蝦球海珊瑚,仲有荷蘭豆做伴菜。接下來就係重頭戲:蠔王鮑魚玉掌。其實就係一嚿鮑魚加兩棵西蘭花加隻鵝掌。不過佢隻鮑魚真係幾大隻同幾厚吓。比讚好食!!!跟住係海鮮卷啊!亦都係我去飲親最鍾意食嘅一味餸。配埋佢比嘅沙律醬,哇!簡直係美食。我自己一個人都食咗快有50%。然後係魚翅,佢碗魚翅入面有比到蟹肉㗎!不過唔知點解我食到有硬殼囉…問返原來個個都有。唔得囉要減分!下一道金枝玉液鴛鴦蔬。跟住係清蒸沙巴躉,呢個真係好食!魚肉夠晒嫩口。之就後呢味亦都係我最鍾意食嘅當紅炸子雞,皮脆肉嫩,咬落去時仲有少少雞汁同油出嚟。要推薦呢個!最後當然少不了有荷葉飯同伊麵。個飯就夠晒入味嘅,不過就乾咗少少,整體嚟講都好食嘅;個伊麵就真係缺咗啲醬汁啦,可能我食開龍蝦伊麵,習慣有白汁芝士同龍蝦汁。最最後嘅甜品就係有蛋糕仔同紅棗糕。其實個蛋糕仔係咩口味我一直都食唔出囉!不過都好食嘅,鬆鬆軟軟咁。甜品都食完,其實成個晚宴可以話已經到咁咗尾聲,同新郎新娘講完
