To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今天博物館出來,已下午2點。看到旁邊的桃源,以前曾常去灣仔的桃源,心想應該也不差吧。坐下時,枱面只有1款點心紙。還以為假期沒有下午茶。點了些點心後,鄰桌用1張粉紅色的紙點餐。馬上找替我落單的姐姐問那是甚麽,為何我桌沒有。原來是下午茶的點餐紙。馬上要求取消已點的,再從新點餐。姐姐說不可取消,跟著離開了。再找一位穿套裝的小姐提出同樣要求。她也説不可取消,再追問時就説她沒權,叫我去櫃枱找經理。去到櫃枱,根本沒有人在。回頭找那小姐,她指其中一桌坐著的男士就是經理。我再重申要求,經理也是説不可取消,我再跟他理論時,那位小姐在旁説去看看,如果未做的,便替我取消。跟著2位都尚不同方向跑了。後來,有另一位穿套裝的小姐跑來嘗試解釋。最後免了一位茶錢。老實説,如果下午茶的點餐紙上的食物不合口味,我都會正價點心。此事的重點並非錢,而是之前三位的服務態度。如果先道歉,再說去看看,不就解決了嗎
