We ordered fried fish and grilled fish tacos, the Agua Chile Snapper, and the Oaxaca Cheese Fundido. Here comes the massive disappointment: the Steak Arrachera Carne Asada. We ordered it medium rare. It was dry, hard to chew and it had an overcooked beef brisket texture.
We told the staff and the staff took it back, apologised and said he will bring it back to the kitchen and see what could be done. Very soon after, another staff (I am guessing the manager) brought back our steak and kind of “threw” the board onto our table (startled us!). She told us that we needed to eat it hot and when it’s served or else the meat will become hard and dry like this. No apologies, no nothing, and all words were spoken with such aggression that it was OUR fault the steak was dry and hard. We did not take another bite into our steak, which is a really huge waste of food but it was truly hard on our stomachs and digestion.
We are extremely upset and disappointed with such service. It’s one thing to politely tell us that we should eat it immediately upon serving (or maybe you should also mentioned that UPON serving), but to “throw” the steak on the table and to make it our fault for your food’s indecency is unacceptable. Aged beef does not taste like this!
Disappointed and confused (we do not know what we did to receive this kind of attitude), I would not recommend to come here for dinner expecting both service and food quality. For lunch, I suppose it’s no big deal. Seems like the dining manner for this restaurant is to eat the food immediately or else it will 變石頭 🤷🏻♀️
