Restaurant: Wing Hing Ice Room

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. Spotted this bingsut a mile away because of the colourful logo.Went in for lunch and noticed they had souffle but I didn't try it as I am trying to cut down on proteins.I had the rice noodles instead which came in a fish and potato broth served with lemon chicken wings.You couldn't really taste the fish when it was hot but after it cooled down you could taste the fish.I couldn't it very healthy and simple as there was no msg and it was light.Next was the steak cutlet, just ordered it because I w

Next was the steak cutlet, just ordered it because I was curious!
The restaurant has an advantage because since the steak is covered they can choose an extremely fatty one!

I suppose the coating helps to keep it juicy and the surface doesn't get too burnt.

Strangely it was served with fried rice or spaghetti but this is bingsut style.

The tea was the usual HK milk tea and the fruit punch tasted like Ribena syrup.
