Heard this place is very popular: need to line up for a seat at lunch time and often sold out before its COB at 7pm everyday. So I paid a visit for a late lunch on a weekday, called in advance to confirm the dishes are all available and no queue outside;) The overall feel and decoration is definitely higher end than other good Pho places such as Pho Bar (the one close by) and Bep (the equally popular one in Soho with multiple locations in central). Very decent cafe / bar style with modern design
The overall feel and decoration is definitely higher end than other good Pho places such as Pho Bar (the one close by) and Bep (the equally popular one in Soho with multiple locations in central). Very decent cafe / bar style with modern design and high quality furnitures.
Visited after 2:30pm so there were plenty of seats available but yet with a handful guests. The whole store smells good (sets my expectation rather high). I also liked their order form which is simple, clear and enables sufficient personal preferences.
And the Pho:
- outstanding soup, very tasty yet authentic without artificial MSG tastes;
- beef: ordered premium beef, the quality was great, just maybe too little meat for a guy (good for girls like me ;p )
- noodles: quite different from those of other Pho places, this one is tender but much stronger, chewy! I like it. But note the noodles portion is rather small, so if you are hungry, may order extra noodles or beef
Overall: def one of the best options for Pho in town!
