I discovered one called Mojo Bistro.  I had overheard some people who worked in the area talking about a place doing a decent value semi buffet lunch. And we followed them. It was located in the H-Code building. A building that we always go there for drinks in the evening. But apparently during the day, these restaurants do value lunch sets. And as it's a bit hidden, they are always quiet.

Menu is in English and Chinese. For just the daily soup, buffet area and drink, it costs $108. Mains are an additional price. I liked that the choice of drinks includes juice. Not many offer that.

The soup of the day was cream of mushroom. It was very creamy with a hint of truffle oil.

For mains, I had the Crispy Duck Leg Confit ($88). There was a watercress salad with dark cherry sauce and a pumpkin puree. The duck smelled wonderful as it arrived. The meat fell off the bone very effortlessly. The puree was smooth and sweet.

Boyfriend had the Roasted Australian Grain Fed Hanging Tender ($138). It was dressed with a black pepper sauce. The beef was extremely tender and well seasoned. There was some mashed potato and roasted vegetables on the side.

We ended with dessert from the buffet table. There was creamy cheesecake and a moist chocolate cake. Both were very good and the highlight of the lunch. We went back for seconds.

Food was well presented and tasted nice. Buffet area was constantly checked by staff and refilled in a timely manner. There were a few diners but it wasn't noisy and crowded. A nice quiet lunch is what I always look for.
