Bayfare Social is a Spanish eatery by Rosewood Hong Kong. It provides a vibrant place for social gatherings, with its setting resembling Europe's buzzling plazas. ENVIRONMENTThe entire place is separated into different cooking stations, with bar tables at each one where you can watch the chefs' meticulous food preparation process. It was delightful watching the making of churros, and the gigantic paella pan. We were seated at the back of the restaurant with floral decorations and spacious sofas.
ENVIRONMENT
The entire place is separated into different cooking stations, with bar tables at each one where you can watch the chefs' meticulous food preparation process. It was delightful watching the making of churros, and the gigantic paella pan. We were seated at the back of the restaurant with floral decorations and spacious sofas. On days with nice weather, they have outdoor seats where you can overlook the Victoria Harbor. The restaurant was filled with exciting and lively buzz. FOOD
The menu offers an extensive array of of Tapas and Spanish dishes. We went with our server's recommendations, and was pleasantly pleased with the quality of food.
Scallop Tiradito
This scallops were bathed in Escabeche dressing, giving the dish a punchy Mediterranean twist. It was vinegary, with the onions and garlic giving it extra aroma. Torched avocado provides a pleasing texture to the scallops. Squid Ink Paella with Cod Fish and Seafood (large)
This dish was HUGE and was filled with so many flavors. The bomba rice was cooked al dente, not too chewy nor mushy. The cod fish was also amazing with its unctuous, flaky flesh and sweet flavors. The clams were also fat and juicy (that I stained my white trousers while eating it).

The suckling pig was roasted to perfection with crackling skin and collagenous meat. The roasted potatoes on the sides are not to be missed too. They were crispy on the outside, but tender and sweet on the inside.

Churros here are absolutely the definition of perfection. The outside was texture was firm and slightly chewy, but the inside was airy and fluffy. The churros were first piped onto a baking tray and put into the freezer before deep frying to create such amazing texture. The melted chocolate dip was robust, and the astringency balances out the sweetness of cinnamon sugar very well.

Baby squids were slathered in a garlicky and peppery sauce. It also came with a soft-boiled farm egg and Padron peppers.

Different from the spicy vodka pastas I had before, they added in spicy sobrasada bits. They were very crispy and added in extra umami and textures to the dish, making it less bland. The spiciness was on the mild side.

These were glazed in a thick and sweet sauce. The caramelized flavors make the potatoes that came with it extremely flavorful.

The apple crumble was a bit of a let down when compared to the other dishes we had. The texture was nice, but we found it a bit too sweet.

Extra credit has to go to our server. She was very attentive, and even offered me soda water when my white pants got dirty from my carelessness. With the quality of service, dining environment and food, it was definitely a good bargain.
P.S. For parties of 6 or more, a minimum charge of $500pp is required
