Noted this restaurant has opened at B2/F at Hysan Place after the renovation. While the rest of B2 area are in a food court style, this restaurant is located at the corner at one far end, and from its décor and music, it conveyed an expensive aura. When we looked at its menu, afternoon tea sets were being served and the price was very reasonable. When we looked at its menu, afternoon tea sets were being served and the price was very reasonable. They also have high tea sets for 2 presented in a 3-layer rack. Since that contained more sweet items rather than savoury items, we opted for the savoury dishes.
Items on the Japanese afternoon tea set menu were single items only, while there were things you could add on, such as 2 pcs sashimi, 1 pc sushi, fried chicken, mochi cake with seaweed soy sauce, steamed egg with mixed seafood, and roasted dried cod fish etc.
There were a lot of seafood on the steamed egg. The 2 pieces of shrimps were having bouncy texture.
We found the portion of all the savoury afternoon tea sets was sizable and would be enough for a lunch.
We also ordered a negitoro don from the a la carte menu.
The texture of the roasted dried cod fish was more like crispy thin biscuits rather than fish. I particularly liked the bean curd with black truffle cream sauce in the kushiyaki set.
