Grilled vegetables: given your own choices - the variety of choices is quite extensive. I picked asparagus, mushroom, onion and zucchini. Vegetables are fresh and dry-grilled, so it wasn't oily at all. it had nicely charcoal-ed grill marks on the surface, grilling makes it quite a special treat - brings out the natural sweetness of the vegetables. pumpkin was one of the choices; i bet that will be a good choice for grilling too.
Deep-fried calamari: (not pictured) the usual. served piping hot and straight from the fryer.layer of batter forms a thin, crispy skin, sprinkled a hint of black pepper seasoning. served with sweet chili dipping sauce on the side. have had this several times before and it is still as good.
Thai chicken curry: yellow-colored curry, mildly flavored with a hint of coconut milk in it. the spices used are not overly pungent - ideal for those who can't tolerate "strong" tastes used in otherwise authentic thai food. chicken meat is tender and incorporated the cumin and coconut flavors in it. served with pea shoots and okra which i strongly advise you against if you're not used to okra.
Seafood fried rice: short-grain "pearl" rice is used, complimenting the delicate nature of this dish with the seafood - chopped bits of shrimp, scallop scattered throughout the rice. good "wok hay" in the dish - rice was firm and had was nicely chewy. quite a generous amount of fresh ingredients used.
Food is always up to standards - dishes and their tastes remain unchanged after 2 renovations over the recent years, if not for the better. and it's a good place for thai food if authentic thai is too spicy/oily for you.
service is attentive, staff is polite and friendly.
environment and seating is quite comfortable, the dining area is quite spacious and family friendly. interesting decor.
prices are very reasonable too - for the quality of both the cooking and the ingredients used, i'd say it's quite good value for money.
a good dining experience with something for everyone.
