I have never tried any Balinese food, and am intrigued by what it is like, therefore I visited TRi to have a taste of Balinese food. TRi is a zen restaurant with all the nice forestry and bamboo interior decoration, artificial river stream and chanting meditation like but enjoyable, smoothing background music. Located on the third floor of the Pulse, facing the nice Repulse Bay, TRi does give you a feeling that you are chilling in Bali. This may be why I enjoyed the whole lunch with my headphone

This may be why I enjoyed the whole lunch with my headphones down, which is rare for a solo foodie like me.

I never like veggies since I was small, but this Seleda Udang absolutely changed it. I actually loved the baby gem lettuce better than the prawn. I guess it's because the baby gem lettuce was fresh and crunchy, and the coconut dressing just made it so delicious! Now I know the trick to make a great salad!

This Rawon Sapi - seared beef tenderloin with rice cake in rawon broth was good. This is the first time that I had a beef tenderloin that is cooked with this method, which made the beef really tender. It almost felt like the beef melts in your mouth. Rice cake was rather plain and sticky. The whole dish went well with rawon broth, as well as the white sauce on the side, probably coconut based too.

Dessert is a Kelapa with white chocolate, almond, grated coconut, and coconut sauce. The base disc had a texture like serradura cake, but a heavily coconut flavoured one. Every single bite is a pamper to my taste buds. Middle part was a coconut ice cream. Top part is the crunchy almond and grated coconut. Absolutely amazing.

Comparatively, this Mango TRi mocktail is less impressive, just an ordinary mango juice/syrup with a bit of soda water.

If Balinese food is coconut-based, or seasoned with lots of coconut oil/syrup/cream, I am definitely a fan of it now! Also, I am putting Bali as my next travel destination!
Other Info. : Portion is quite small, same as most of the fine dining restaurants.
